Our Extraction and Tailings Planning team at Syncrude is looking for a Maintenance Planner!

Key Accountabilities:

• Identify continuous improvement opportunities for ongoing planning / scheduling activities
• Prepare job plans with the planned cost ready for scheduling detailing parts, materials, special tools, external services and documentation

Minimum Requirements:

• Mechanical trade certificate or diploma in a relevant technical field or equivalent technical and operational experience
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (preferably SAP)
• Understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling concepts as well as maintenance practices

You will provide technical and engineering support for Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) equipment changes and upgrades as well as E&I discipline expertise in support of critical equipment troubleshooting, equipment strategy reviews and E&I system changes through the Management of Change (MOC) process.

Minimum Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical or instrumentation/controls engineering
• Must be a Professional Engineer in the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGA) 
• Atleast 5 years of experience in maintenance/reliability engineering

Responsibilities:

Haul Truck (Mine) or Cell Dozer (Tailings). Involves building skills and gaining experience in operating heavy mobile equipment. Individuals will work to gain qualification on a Haul Truck or Cell Dozer. Once qualified, trainees may progress to training on the Operator 2 qualifications. To be considered a competent and seasoned Operator you must have completed the Operator qualification process and have demonstrated competence in all four seasons on the equipment. Minimum Requirement

• Five years of experience working as a millwright in a heavy industrial environment
