The Financial Trainee will assist divisional staff with general accounting, purchasing, payroll and budget duties in addition to vendor communication as it relates to the program area.

Duties may include the following:

• Assists with accounting/purchasing/payroll/budget duties
• Assists with the compilation of financial/accounting/purchasing/payroll/budget and statistical information. Enters and updates and matches financial data, account information, etc.
• Assists in processing accounts, billings, collections, etc.
• Collects, compiles, extracts and organizes data for others to use/analyze.
• Assists with calculations.
• Assists with preparation of financial statements.
• Distributes documentation.
• Responds to enquiries by referring to appropriate staff.

Key Qualifications:

1. Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of any post-secondary program of a financial/accounting background and/or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Experience using various computer software applications including, but not limited to Microsoft Office M365.

You Must Also Have:

• Working towards a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation or a CSC (Canadian Securities Course) would be considered an asset

The Transportation Specialist is responsible for managing client and carrier reporting, maintaining transportation systems, conducting detailed rating analysis, and providing operational support. This role involves running weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports from various systems and compiling them accurately for clients. Job Summary
This position is responsible for loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, scanning, sorting, and stocking packages. This position may utilize heavy machinery to complete tasks. This position performs other tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Receives, inspects, and stocks inbound products.
Receives returns, counts and confirms quantities, determines condition and completes paperwork.
Obtains orders and selects products from the proper locations.
Verifies accuracy of orders picked.
Stages and securely packs products.
Arranges for pick-up of shipments, contacts carriers and coordinates schedule.
Handles products and performs duties according to client procedures and government/compliance regulations.
Palletizes cases, wraps, and loads skids onto trailers.
Creates shipping labels and other paperwork for parcels to maintain accurate shipping data in warehouse management system.
Safely operates various power equipment.
Responds quickly to customer/client inquiries, resolves problems, and communicates service issues to supervisor.

Shift: Overnight

The scope of this position is to be responsible for dispatching units to pickup and delivery freight, monitoring the performance of drivers and ensuring customer timelines are adhered to. 

How You’ll Help

• Coordinate deliveries, assign pick up requests, and enter line haul orders in the computer. 
• Assign appointment freight deliveries to trucks, manifest shipments, and check for expedited shipments. 
• Answer phones from drivers and customers. 
• Review yard check to ensure freight is not missed and trucks are on schedule. 
• Coordinate drivers to come back for second round of deliveries. 
• Coordinate daily P&D requirements. 
• Monitor driver performance and report finding to manager. 
• Identify areas for improvement and efficiencies. 
• Perform clerical duties for compliance and broker pay as required. 
• Other related duties as may be required.  

Your Skills & Experience: 

• An understanding of the geography of the area 
• High School graduate or equivalent  
• Transportation background in dispatch, dock supervision (2-3 years) 
• Computer literate in Excel and Word 
• Equipment knowledge is an asset
