What is the opportunity?
In this role, you will play a critical role by providing direct support to the VP Operational Excellence, Human Resources. You will be accountable for managing schedules, departmental events and executive correspondence to ensure the effectiveness of the executive leadership team. In addition, you will liaise with RBC Leadership and business partners on behalf of the VP, follow-up on action items, maintain calendars, coordinate travel arrangements, maintain and organize files, prepare correspondence and other presentation materials.
What will you do?
- Calendar management including prioritizing scheduling and managing conflicts. Also provide support in organizing meetings, video and in person meetings (book meeting location and equipment resources)
- Execution of high quality correspondence, document and reports, giving attention to detail (letters, briefing notes, announcements) ; proactively seek opportunities to provide additional value added service to ensure all established deadlines/commitments are met
- Prepare presentation materials and agendas for meetings. Ensure relevant information is assembled and prepared for meetings.
- Set up and coordinate business planning sessions, staff meetings, management meetings, bi-weekly management team meetings and one-on-one’s with direct reports (functional and global). As required, follow up on any agenda items or deliverables including co-ordination with facilitator and presenters to deliver the materials in a timely manner
- As the VP’s delegate for email and phone mail during absences, handle and forward issues, and prioritize for action upon their return
- Prepares expense reports ensuring accuracy and adherence to finance policies ensuring expense reimbursement is within the expense report guidelines; validate expense reports prior to approval
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
- 5+ years working with C-Level or Senior Executives (Vice President & above)
- Superior organizational skills specifically around calendar management, scheduling, ability to organize, plan, and schedule activities.
- Technically savvy; highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy, tact, positive can-do attitude
- Outstanding time management and proven ability to pivot/adjust to changing priorities
- Ability to prioritize high volume; competing priorities for multiple stakeholders and in turn deliver balance of advice and counsel with strong execution capabilities.

Qualifications
- MANDATORY - Current Ontario Certificate of Qualification (Industrial Electrician – 442A) or #309A Construction Electrician with relevant industrial experience
- Experience effectively troubleshooting equipment electrical/controls problems and investigating the root cause of such problems
- Experience in troubleshooting programmable controller (PLC) systems
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic equipment as well as various testing procedures to diagnose and repair/setup of such equipment
- Experience in the installation, trouble shooting and repair of DC Controllers and AC drives
- Photo Electrics
- Experience in working with computerized maintenance management software (CMMS)
- Ability to work at heights up to 100 feet
- Ability to stand for long periods with occasional laying down, stooping and crouching, plus frequent heavy lifting

General Accountability:
This position is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of bulk propane and/or petroleum to customers. The driver is responsible to be aware of the customer’s requirements and to maintain adequate supplies of product in the storage tank(s). The incumbent ensures that deliveries are completed on a least cost basis, and that all associated documentation is accurately completed and returned to the base location for invoicing. The Energy Products Driver is also accountable for sharing potential sales leads on new customers and new products and services to existing customers, increasing the company’s customer base.
Reports To: Branch Manager or Dispatcher
Specific Accountabilities:
- Responsible for delivery of energy products in a safe and efficient manner.
- Provides automatic delivery of propane and maintains appropriate levels of product in customers’ tank(s). Ensures the proper completion of all associated documentation required for prompt invoicing, as well as collecting COD accounts as required.
- Ensures delivery of product is on time and meets customer expectations.
- Ensures company policy and legal requirements are followed in the delivery of product.
- Responsible for daily inventory control and sales tickets.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records of activities to enhance the distribution system and ensure customer satisfaction. Prepare daily records (e.g. daily truck report, pre and post trip vehicle inspections, and loading tickets).
- Checks and cleans truck and equipment on a daily basis, ensures safety of vehicle and equipment and reports problems to the supervisor.
- Ensures that proper servicing and lubrication and other maintenance is carried out as required by policy.
- Maintains self and uniform in a neat and tidy condition.
- Reports maintenance requirements of tanks and equipment to the Service Department.
- Shares potential sales leads on new potential customers or new products and services to existing customers, ensuring profitable growth.
- Must operate vehicle towards least cost distribution:
- Number of deliveries per hour.
- Number of litres per delivery
- Cost per litre delivered
- Driver must hold current licenses/certificates as determined by UPI and the government, e.g. “D” drivers license with air brake endorsement, T1, P3 Propane Licenses, and Dangerous Goods card.
- The driver is responsible for the safety of truck equipment, for using safe loading and unloading procedures, and for safe transportation of the load.
- Represents and promotes the Company in a competent and professional manner.
- Understands and complies with Company Health and Safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Mostly outdoors and behind the wheel of a truck.
