Available schedule:

Daytime Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 1 weekend out of 6 at night.

Salary:  We offer a starting salary of $36.15/h (evaluated based on experience) with evening (+$1.25/h) and night (+$1.75/h) premiums upon hiring. 

• Carry out the installation, maintenance and mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repair of equipment in the various automated production and packaging lines;
• Perform inspection and preventive maintenance of equipment;
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment when it breaks down to ensure production targets are met;
• When assigned to certain sectors, carry out surveillance rounds of fixed machine equipment;
• Carry out work according to established priorities, availability of equipment and materials required;
• Facilitate compliance with deadlines and efficiency in the production and packaging of dairy products;
• Communicate the progress of work and projects to the people concerned;
• Provide training to plant employees as needed;
• Working with external companies to carry out projects;
• Carry out electrical installations;
• Perform fault analyses and suggest measures to improve process efficiency;
• Ensure that planned work is carried out on schedule.

The qualifications sought are:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position;
• Post-secondary training in a related field (electromechanics, industrial mechanics, automation, etc.);
• Possess the MMF class 3A competency certification (an asset), otherwise be prepared to complete the process of obtaining the certification (paid by Saputo);
• Have an electrical certificate (license C or CRCA certificate) (an asset);
• Training and experience with PLC (an asset);
• Master common IT tools (MS Office suite);
• Experience with maintenance management software (an asset);
• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical mind;
• Ability to work with minimal supervision;
• Initiative, proactivity and excellent work organization skills;
• Be available to work shifts, holidays and weekends (casual).

• The candidate must transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually.
• The candidate must check and weigh materials and products.
• The candidate must sort, pack, crate, and package materials and products.
• The candidate must assist machine operators, assemblers, and other workers.
• The candidate will be required to perform other labouring and elemental activities.
• The candidate will be responsible for cleaning machines and immediate work areas.

The Financial Shared Representative is responsible for accurate and timely processing of accounts payable payments according to established internal procedures

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounts Payable Processing

• Processes accounts payable payments in accordance to established processes
• Communicates with stakeholders such as suppliers to follow up, clarify information or resolve disputes (i.e. payment not made on time).  Escalates to management, where required
• Liaises with business unit leaders to obtain approval for payments
• Handles scanned documentations with low data recognition and data enters missing data
• Reviews documents for compliance and completeness against established requirements.  Identifies non-compliant items and missing information and obtains information to ensure compliance to established procedures and requirements
• Determines appropriate accounting codes to the documents according to business unit and expense/cost element type
• Performs mathematical calculations – additions, subtractions, multiplication and divisions – to verify for mathematical accuracy.  Identifies errors and liaises with appropriate stakeholder for resolution.  Escalates where required
• Validates accounts payable documentations against supporting documentations to ensure accuracy and completeness.  Identifies and resolves issues and discrepancies in transactional accounting.  Liaises with stakeholders and management for resolution
• Handles validation, matching, coding and approval exceptions.  Liaises with business unit leaders to obtain approval exceptions
• Prepares electronic fund transfers and cheques for payments
• Enters accounts payable transactions into accounting systems

Vendor Set Up Process

• Completes vendor set up requisitions and works with Supply Chain Administration to complete vendor set up

Audit Support

• Files, maintains and retrieves documentations for audit support
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, JOB-RELATED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Community college diploma preferably in accounting
• 1 to 3 years of clerical accounting/accounts payable work experience
• Understanding of sales tax rules
• Ability to execute work according to established procedures
• Ability to identify and resolve accounts payable issues and discrepancies
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations – addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, along with ability to identify inaccuracies in data
• Ability to process a high volume of data requiring strong attention to detail and accuracy
