Role
Reporting to the IM Programs Manager and as a member of a support team, the Information Analyst supports the provision of information management (IM) advice, guidance, and direction to client ministries. This position has a key role in gathering information that will be used to support recommendations, strategies and approaches to enhance the implementation of the IM Program within one or more departments. The Information Analyst plans and collects information related to the delivery of IM services and participates in the identification/creation of IM solutions to support specific business activities, processes, and requirements.
This position also supports IM Programs strategic projects that are designed to enhance the centralized IM Program services to ensure that all services are client centered, coordinated, and optimized. This will ensure that the Government of Alberta understands and minimizes Information Management risks and leverages information to it's fullest potential.
Responsibilities encompass the analysis and implementation phases for a broad variety of IM initiatives including:
- Completing reviews and collection of IM requirements and practices;

- Supporting clients in understanding IM risks related to current business activities; and
