Job Specific Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with accepted safety standards and applicable laws.
• Implement, coordinate & maintain ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 certification.
• Develop, implement, enforce & maintain HSE programs, policies, work instructions and procedures considering EHS legislation and corporate policy.
• Manage the Joint Health Safety & Environmental Committee, inspections, action plans and meetings.
• Perform environmental and Health & Safety training for all levels of the division, including orientation to new employees.
• Coordinate required inspections & audits; champion internal auditing (ISO 14001/ISO 45001 Lead Auditor).
• Ensure the yearly NPRI, O.REG. 127-01 and AWS/ESDM reporting documents are complete and ensure submission in a timely manner.

• Maintain records of third party contracts relevant to health, safety and environmental issues and legislation.
• Manage liquid and solid waste disposal, follow up on trends to reduce waste and ensure compliance.

Health and Safety Responsibilities

• Observe standards for safe working conditions as outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act as well as rules and regulations outlined in the employee handbook.
