Our dynamic team within Human Resources has the mandate to deliver projects for the entire HR organization. As a software developer, the successful candidate will be required to maintain and enhance existing applications as well as deliver new, innovative solutions that meet the company's needs.
Our diversified team supports various HR groups by developing innovative IT solutions. The successful candidate will work with internal customers to implement new applications and make changes to existing ones. The software developer will be responsible for assessing, developing and supporting applications based on customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the planning and design of new software applications
- Apply UX best practices to ensure high quality employee experience of developed tools
- Document conceptual solutions and produce cost estimates
- Develop intranet applications
- Support existing applications
Critical Qualifications
- Bachelor's or college degree in computer science or management information systems
- Strong analytical skills (ability to quickly determine the problem space and organize it into simple components through data mining, statistical analysis and quantitative analysis)
- Very good knowledge of NET Core, C#, Blazor, Entity Framework, Javascript, HTML, CSS, XML, Internet Information Services
- Databases (SQL Server 2019)
- Design and modelling of medium-complexity databases
- Writing (intermediate level) stored procedures and functions for Microsoft SQL Server
- SSRS (optional)
- Mobile web development
- Strong interpersonal skills to be able to consult directly with internal clients to achieve desired outcome
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Agile methodology practices
- Strong technical writing skills (ability to write clearly and concisely)
- Proven troubleshooting skills (ability to quickly identify and resolve problems)
- Mathematical skills
- Excellent ability to articulate and document technical concepts on many levels
- Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, excellent capacity for mastering new technologies
- Initiative combined with excellent organization, administrative, interpersonal and project management skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Attention to detail and speed of execution
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- IT security – Operating systems, networks, applications, encryption
Additional Requirements
- Work hours are Mondays to Fridays, 37.5 hours/week
- Hybrid work model (3 days per week in office)
- Flexible work start and finish times
- Some overtime may be required in order to meet deadlines
