The Edmonton Police Service has an opportunity for one (1) Administrative Support Coordinator. This position will provide all aspects of administrative support the Executive Director of the Value and Impact Division and the Executive Director of the Corporate Communications Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Manages both Executive Director's calendars, booking meetings and appointments; and able to make independent decisions regarding these tasks.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for Executive Director's, booking flights, hotels, and transportation services, as well as managing travel itineraries and expenses.
- Prepare expense claims.
- This position will be responsible to support the tracking of community engagement requests for both Community Relations unit in Value and Impact Division and Partner and Stakeholder Engagement in Corporate Comms.
- Maintain a division diary date system for the Executive Director's to monitor the Annual Performance Plans (APP) for all members within the Division.
- Maintain detailed financial records of all non-personnel expenditures and invoicing as needed.
- Create and assign Executive Office Tracking Sheets.
- Ensure all tracking sheets are concluded in the system in a timely manner.
- Attend meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Completion of the twelfth (12th) school grade including business subjects related to word and information processing or completion of an appropriate certificate program from an approved business school/college.
- A minimum of three (3) year’s diversified word and information processing experience.
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel and Outlook.
- Proficiency with Powerpoint would be an asset.
- Must have good interpersonal communication skills and be able to multitask and provide courteous and professional work.
- Must have excellent time management and organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work with standard office software programs.
- Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and the ability to multitask.

- As part of your pre-hire screening you will be required to complete an Enhanced Security Clearance. Hours of Work:
33.75 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of a variable hours of work program.
Salary Range:
21M, Salary Grade: 012, $28.644 - $35.917 (Hourly), $1,933.50 - $2,424.40 (Bi-Weekly), $50.463.57 - $53,276.77 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.

Qualifications

- Degree - Four (4) years experience, Diploma - Six (6) years of experience as an OHS professional, with loss prevention experience and working knowledge in areas such as process safety management, safety management system development and implementation, incident/injury prevention, hazard identification, qualitative and quantitative risk analysis. Equivalencies with years of experience and education may be considered
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST), National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO), Construction Safety Officer (CSO) would be considered an asset
- Knowledge of municipalities, municipal governance and unionized environments
- Knowledge of internal and external audits, the Certificate of Recognition (COR) program, and/or ISO45001 Occupational Health and Safety Standard
- Experience with Contractor Management is considered an asset for this position.

Qualifications
- Completion of the twelfth (12th) school grade including business subjects with an emphasis on word and information processing, or completion of an appropriate certificate program from an approved business school/college, supplemented by training in basic microcomputer applications.
- A minimum of two (2) years diversified word and information processing experience.
- Any further certificates, diplomas or degrees in an area related to policing, law or computer technology would be considered an asset.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
- Proven technical ability working with various computer software programs and databases.
- Experience working with media technology, databases, and spreadsheets
- Knowledge of the Criminal Code and court procedures would be an asset.
- Demonstrated self-initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience with JOIN, CPIC, Globalscape, NICHEUA, and Microsoft Access Database, Excel and Word are an asset
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize a high-volume workload in a demanding fast paced environment.
- Mature individual with the ability to adapt to change and work in a multidisciplinary team setting.

Hours of Work:
40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 0600-1430 hours.
Salary Range:
21B, Salary Grade: 007, $23.78 - $29.53 (Hourly), $1,903.00 - $2,362.70 (Bi-Weekly), $49,667.26 - $61,666.99 (Annually).
The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.

- Support the branch sections in planning for their annual work plan, reporting and analysis of their budget vs actual spends, financial modeling and analysis

Qualifications
- University Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years experience in financial analysis, budgeting, job costing, process improvement, financial reporting, benchmarking and preparing presentations for leadership
- Professional designation (CFA, CPA, CGA, CMA, CA), or an MBA would be an asset
- Strong SAP skills with experience in Plant Maintenance and WBS reporting is a requirement of this position
- Ability to understand and relate financial concepts, systems and processes to a large complex organization Interpret and analyse complex errors to ensure problem resolution
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills In depth understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation methodologies and project accounting/ reporting related to SAP
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles (PSAB, IFRS, GAAP)
- Significant knowledge of software applications including COBS or equivalent, SAP, Microsoft Office and Google Applications including Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Google Slides
