Retail Territory Sales Representative Full-time Job

Job Details

In the role of Retail Territory Sales Representative working in the South Calgary/Okotoks/High River Territory region. This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager. The role focuses on all retail customers located within the assigned territory; including Independent and Key Account Customers

 

The ideal Sales Representative candidate will possess great communication and leadership skills, is driven for success and has a passion for quality beer. You will learn multiple aspects of merchandising, sales, and operations, while having the opportunity to represent some of Canada’s favourite brands.

 

The Responsibilities :

  • Through a First Choice lens, build and support relationships with key customers, business partners, industry associations, government and suppliers
  • Ensure brilliant execution by building rapport and supporting product standards
  • Install/Replace/Update POP material at the point of sale according to prior agreements or based on brand strategy (racks, price cards, display units, semi-permanent display, permanent display, etc.)
  • Ensure Molson products are in full distribution based on store/head office compliance.
  • Auditing of planograms to ensure stores are at compliant to head office planograms
  • Ensure product is rotated and check code dates to ensure no expired product is available for sale.
  • Check pricing to ensure compliance and correct if necessary
  • Observe and record all competitive activity and report accordingly
  • Ensure product quality in assigned accounts – out of code product, torn packaging, etc.
  • Manage shipping and receiving of all POS material from Molson Coors warehouse

Key responsibilities include:

  • Procuring and purchasing of routine and critical maintenance parts and materials as needed, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
  • Applying strategic purchasing expertise, industry standards, and 5S methodology to maintain effective inventory management.
  • Knowledgeable on industry strategy to keep on track on following up on waiting on parts, urgent requests and critical parts.  
  • Identifying and prioritizing tasks, distinguishing between external workorders for contractors and internal maintenance.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve red tag system for parts needing repairs and repaired parts verification.
  • Understand how to handle workorders including parts kit preparation, escalation of waiting on parts once received on site.
  • Able to strategically plan to reduce repetitive failures, focus on minimizing plant equipment downtime, and improved reliability.

 

 

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Assign, manage, and assess work orders and parts inventory requests.
  • Manage contractors through projects, reoccurring appointments and service calls.
  • Lead maintenance opex projects and reliability focused initiatives.
  • Use Ariba and maestro (may transfer to SAP) system for parts purchasing and invoicing.
  • Improve maintenance efficiency and reliability through workorders (Fiix and SAP experience ideal).
  • Lead cultural changes and implement best practices (Lean, TPM, RCM, FMEA).
  • Other duties as assigned with above responsibilities modifiable dependent on business needs.

 

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary certification or engineering/technology/trades background.
  • Certification and training in CMRP or PMP or FMEA or MMP (required).
  • Supply chain management certification in maintenance (advantageous).
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or production maintenance.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in maintenance practices and principles.
  • Experience with administrating Fiix or SAP or similar CMMS systems.
  • Experience leading/coordinating maintenance or high functioning teams.

Assist the H & S Manager in the on-going development and enhancement of the plant’s Occupational Health & Safety Program and Environmental program.  This involves providing technical support, training, implementation and maintenance of the programs to and for all employees and visitors while complying with the food safety requirements of the plant.  As well as the administration of both work and non-work related claims.  They will be required to work closely with Managers, Supervisors and individual employees to promote occupational health, safety and environmental issues in the Maple Leaf Foods-Saskatoon.

The Occupational Health and Safety Supervisor is also responsible for coordinating training, communications, involvement and accountability – supporting accident prevention and compliance programs.  You will be the coach on the playing field, providing leadership and guidance to our team members. Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Compliance in OHS program activity (WHMIS / MSDS, machine guarding, lockout/tagout, fall prevention/protection, contractor management, mobile equipment – shock watch, compliance observations…).
  • Monitors departmental safety meeting, advises employees on legislated and industry changes.
  • Creates, audits, and monitors the compliance of any new or existing Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and Physical Demands Analysis (PDA) with the supervisors and employees
  • Develop, delivers and audits the New Hire and the Contractor Orientations
  • Provide support and follow up with the supervisors and senior supervisors regarding accident and incident investigation reports; specifically follow up on outstanding or ineffective corrective actions
  • Enter any and all work orders upon receipt from the supervisors from safety tour reports.  Ensure that they have been properly classified according the work order classification system and communicate any other information required to the Maintenance Planner.
  • Promote the Health and Safety plans, goals and objectives
  • Engage and involve workers in Health and Safety programs by ensuring compliance with active policies and procedures, planned task observations in order to ensure understanding, and inform supervisor if policies and procedures are not being met. 
  • Communicate any and all pertinent or emergency Health and Safety Issues or Concerns with the Senior Leadership Team in the absence of the Health and Safety Manager.  Ensure SLT is made aware of any claims with special circumstance or concerns that may arise out of a claim and approach that is being taken
  • Assist in the coaching and mentoring of the H&S Coordinators with effective tools and practices
  • Provide support to the First Aid Team, supervisors and employees in the event of a plant emergency
  • Other duties may be assigned

What You’ll Bring:

  • Post-secondary degree / diploma from an occupational health and safety / industrial hygiene program/disability management.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Three to five years of supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, verbal and written communication, presentation and analytical skills
  • Self-directed and professional, well-developed English communication skills (verbal, written, reading)
  • Computer proficiency in email and spreadsheets and able to learn a variety of other software (ex. SAP, Kronos)

Reporting: (25%)

  • Compose and upload Journal entries
  • Prepare Balance sheet account reconciliations monthly
  • Track and ensure outstanding items in reconciliations are cleared within 2 months
  • Prepare weekly and monthly vitals reports
  • Track government assistance payments and submit to corporate, if applicable
  • Other reporting as required

Accounting & Controls (35% - 40%)
