We are seeking security guards and supervisors for full time temporary strike coverage positions beginning Jan 28 2025. You must be able to start on Jan 28 2025 and attend our online class on Jan 27 9AM-1PM if you are selected for hire. You must have a drivers licence and your own vehicle. No exceptions. Position Overview:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform access control provision duties during strike coverage.
• Ensure conflicts are mitigated and responded to.
• Maintain security of perimeter and ensure management can get access to the site.
• Deter trespassers from the site, ensuring picketers are able to protest peacefully.
• Monitor and respond to any and all disputes, de-escalate situations and ensure both parties are safe.
• Protect client assets, property and people.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Valid Ontario Security License.
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate. 
• Experience with labour disputes is an asset but not required.
• Must have your own vehicle.
• Able to sit in a vehicle for extended periods of time.

Responsible to perform PSAs (Potential Supplier Audits), responsible to close out PSA audit short falls.  Responsible to manage the APQP process to support program launches.  Responsible to develop and continually improve our Engineering Feasibility documents to include lessons learned by commodity/component.  Support supply crisis situations related to capacity and quality.  Responsible to develop and improve our current suppliers.

Credentials

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related engineering discipline is required.

Desired Characteristics

• Five to seven years of related experience.
• Experience with risk analysis and problem failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) for automotive products.
• Experience in writing and executing engineering test protocols.  Write quality assurance reports that describe manufacturing problems, corrective actions taken, and preventative measures needed.  Proposals are usually written for non-technical audiences such as clients and management.
• Ability to make presentations to senior management during annual meetings to provide an overview of areas such as product costing, maintenance and equipment failures which need to be considered when planning for the coming year.
• Read operating and quality assurance reports to understand technical and operational information about facilities, processes, and equipment.
• Experience in drawing interpretations and geometric dimensional tolerancing.  Knowledge and experience in gauging methods, calibration, and gauge R&R’s.  Ability to take precise measurements using specialized equipment and techniques.
• Lead and co-ordinate project teams which include other engineers, technologists, clients, and contractors when designing, developing, and building products or facilities.
• Proficient with MS Office and CAD applications. Familiar with material processes and IATF/TS16949 standards.  Experience with the use of statistical analysis software and computer-assisted design, manufacturing, and machining.
• Attend formal professional development seminars and conferences as needed.  Conduct self-directed studies by reading journals and trade publications.  Must be aware of new technologies and advances in the engineering field.

You will play a key role in supporting our production and shipping team in a fast-paced work environment. Your function as a tow motor operator will be to support the production lines, load, unload and move materials as needed throughout the facility

The Level 4 – Maintenance Multi Skilled is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing a variety of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems within an industrial environment.

Responsibility

·         Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues of the production equipment to minimize downtime.

·         Perform predictive and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment according to established schedules.

·         Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensure all systems are properly integrated and functional.

·         Repair and replace defective parts, such as bearings, gears, belts and motors.

·         Conduct precision alignments and adjustments on machinery.

·         Execute mechanical rebuilds of the machinery and components.

·         Troubleshoot, repair and replace PLCs (Allen Bradley PLC, Fanuc / Siemens CNC controls)and other PC-based systems

·         Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability.

·         Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and schematics.

·          Close work orders using maintenance tracking system.

Academic/Educational Requirements

·         High school diploma or qualification.

Certificate of Qualification for both Industrial Electrician 442A and Industrial Mechanic Millwright 433A.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and preventive and corrective maintenance on all DC equipment following department procedures and trade best practices; working in a safe and effective manner and adhering to all safety policies

Qualifications

• Ability to work at heights up to 100 feet

• Ability to stand for long periods with occasional laying, stooping and crouching plus frequent heavy lifting (up to 50 lb)

• Fabrication experience and ability to weld in all positions

• Demonstrated skills/experience with pneumatics

• Demonstrated machinery/repair/overhaul & troubleshooting skills with material handling equipment (e.g., conveyors, sorters, combiners, etc.)

• Demonstrated equipment troubleshooting skills

• Machine shop experience , rigging experience and 5S experience

Assets

• Certificate of Apprenticeship (Ontario or Canadian equivalent)

• Experience with towlines, automated conveyor systems (Intelligrated is an asset), automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS, Eaton-Kenway or HK Systems are assets)

• Health & Safety experience (e.g., safety committee experience)

• Strong skills using MS Office (Excel, Word) or Autocad
