Cenovus’s Atlantic Regions SeaRose Maintenance Team is seeking two Electrical Technicians that will be responsible for maintaining equipment to ensure safe, efficient operations. Working on a 21-day rotation, the Technicians perform preventative maintenance, diagnoses system issues, and implements corrective actions to minimize downtime and maximize production.

These positions will be based offshore on the SeaRose, in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. This is a full-time, permanent position working offshore 12-hours per day on a 3 weeks on/ 3 weeks off rotation.

What you’ll do:

• Maintain equipment safely and effectively, following Cenovus policies, applicable industry standards, and offshore industry standards.

• Execute daily tasks in line with the SeaRose 21-day plan, including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and corrective actions to reduce downtime and boost production.

• Proactively identify and implement improvements to enhance equipment and plant performance.

• Record and report maintenance history, flagging any concerns and helping manage spare parts, modifications, and inventory levels.

• Support and guide contract electrical personnel; lead toolbox talks and assist with risk assessments to promote safe, efficient work.

• Ensure ongoing compliance with safe work systems and maintenance procedures.

• Take part in emergency response teams, including helicopter operations and firefighting, and complete all required safety training.

Who you are:

Our ideal candidates will have the following minimum requirements:

• Legally authorized to work in Canada.

• Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma or Certification as an Industrial Journeyman Electrician (Inter-provincial status if applicable).

• Relevant industry experience, preferably on FPSOs or in the upstream oil and gas sector; experience with planned maintenance systems is an asset.

• Completion of required training in accordance with CAPP standards, regulatory requirements, and the Cenovus Training Matrix.

The Senior Coordinator, Maintenance is a key member of the SeaRose FPSO leadership team. They are responsible for leading the maintenance group in the safe, efficient and cost effective operation of the SeaRose. The Senior Coordinator, Maintenance provides supervision and coordination to a multi-disciplinary maintenance team. Duties include planning, implementation of maintenance activities, trouble-shoot problems and leading equipment optimization efforts to improve reliability. The Senior Coordinator, Maintenance is also responsible for the coordination of the offshore POB and arranging flights to meet offshore requirements.

This position will be based offshore Grand Banks, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. This is a full-time, permanent position working offshore 12-hours per day on a 3 weeks on/ 3 weeks off rotation.

What you’ll do:

• Identify, plan, schedule and implement the preventative and corrective maintenance program, as well as modifications

• Determines maintenance resource level requirements to effectively manage work scopes and adjust as required

The Shift Engineer will:

• Provide relief coverage (vacation, sick, etc.) of brewery shift engineers

• Have proven abilities for the safe and efficient operation of the plant pressure systems including boilers and related equipment, refrigeration, CO2 and compressed air systems.
• Troubleshoot problems quickly to complete repairs effectively and efficiently
• Be dependable, with the ability to work overtime, including weekends, when necessary
• Participate in maintaining spare parts to ensure we can support any potential equipment failures
• Respond to any equipment downtime issues in the brewery and warehouse(s)
• Support equipment capital improvement projects in the brewery
• Be willing to train and backfill in packaging operations should the need arise

The Other Qualifications:

• Possess a Red Seal 3rd Class Inter-Provincial stationary engineering designation and current registration within the province of NL
• 5+ years’ experience in a combined pressure plant containing an ammonia refrigeration system
• Ability to participate in a culture of continuous improvement with an EHS mindset
• Preference will be given to candidate with dual tickets
• Project Management experience is an advantage
• Experience in an Asset Care department is a plus
• Mechanical experience / hydraulic and pneumatic systems an asset
