SUMMARY
For assigned facilities, the Cleaner is responsible for the provision of cleaning and related services under the general direction of the Team Leader.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carries out responsibilities to meet Client/Tenant requirements and ensures that cleaning deficiencies are identified to the Team Leader for inclusion in the cleaning program
- Key activities include washing, dusting, emptying litter and recycling containers, operating cleaning equipment, changing light bulbs, and shovelling snow
- Secures assigned facilities after hours by locking doors, closing windows, turning on/off lights as required and resetting security systems as required
- Ensures compliance with corporate and legislated policies, procedures, practices and guidelines related to environmental, health and safety, and fire protection

EDUCATION, JOB-RELATED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High school education

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Requires 1-year minimum experience in industrial/commercial facility cleaning operations

Working Conditions
The role will be partially performed in an office environment and outdoors in various types of weather and environmental conditions with irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The role requires regular travel (up to 50%) across their assigned territory at times without advance notice. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure and stress. The position requires responding to unexpected and emergency situations, and being able to lift up to 70 lbs.

- Contribute to the ongoing reliability of all heavy equipment and complete preventative maintenance requirements
- Test repaired equipment to verify proper maintenance
- Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work on heavy equipment as required
What You Bring to the Role:
- Typically, 5+ years of related industry experience with a High School Diploma or GED
- Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyman Certificate in Alberta and/or an Interprovincial Red Seal Certificate
- Journeyman Millwrights with experience working with Shovels will also be considered
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Familiarity with and understanding of:
- Computer based Mine Maintenance Planning Program
- Microsoft Office Suite

In this role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and executing predictive and preventative maintenance programs, as well as performing repairs on instrument and electrical systems at our pipeline facilities. Your expertise will help ensure our operations run safely and efficiently.
Minimum Requirements:
- Five years of post-Journeyperson maintenance experience with your completion of a registered apprenticeship program, with journeyperson red seal certification
- Five years of relevant maintenance experience in the maintenance of pipelines, oil and gas facilities, refineries, pulp and paper, mine process, or other related industries
- A valid Alberta Journeyperson Electrical Certificate and valid Oil Field Safety Certification; attach your Journeyperson / Oil Field Safety tickets with your application to be considered
- A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and safely maintain pipeline facility sites with a focus on ensuring operating equipment is reliable and maintained to Suncor’s expectations
- Execute the preventative maintenance program as well as maintain and repair vital heat trace components
- Calibrate and maintain pressure, temperature, fire and gas, leak detection, flow switches transmitters and other monitoring equipment
- Inspect, maintain and calibrate a wide variety of pipeline equipment, such as: variable frequency drives (VFD’s), pumps, motors, flow computers, Coriolis meters and other related metering equipment
- Service pipeline facility motor actuated valves
- Exercise mature and independent judgment in daily activities associated with operations and oversee third party service contractors as required during pipeline repairs and construction projects
- Build positive relationships by working within diverse groups in a demonstrably efficient and flexible manner, while communicating effectively with all parties
- Participate in on-call rotation and emergency response
Location & Other Key Details:
- You will work out of our Pipeline Field Office in Fort McMurray, Alberta
- The shift schedule is seven day on/ seven day off rotation
- This position is safety sensitive
- You’ll need to be flexible to work overtime when required and able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, working from heights within a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces
