Job Details

We are looking for a motivated Delivery Assistant/Warehouse Attendant to join our distribution team in Val d'Or . In this role, you will work closely with a Delivery Driver to ensure the delivery of our products (beer and other beverages) to our commercial customers. You will be a key member of our team, contributing to delivery management, warehousing and order preparation. 

 

Responsibilities : 

 

  • Ensure delivery of beer and beverages to merchants using specialized equipment, including a moffet. 

  • Work with a delivery person  to make deliveries. 

  • Unload crates and barrels of beer and beverages from the truck and place them according to established standards. 

  • Rotate products to maintain freshness and ensure delivery compliance. 

  • Use computer tools to invoice orders to customers. 

  • Assist with order preparation in the warehouse as needed. 

  • Operate a forklift or electric pallet jack to move and retrieve pallets of beer and beverages as part of order preparation. 

  • Complete the loading of trucks intended for deliveries and unload the empty crates on the return journey. 

Other qualifications : 

 

  • You are of legal drinking age in Quebec (18 years and older). 

  • You are in good physical condition and able to work standing up for the duration of your shift.  

  • You are able to carry loads of up to 150 lbs repeatedly.  

  • You are available to work 1 to 2 days per week, on call, depending on the needs of the company (daytime hours, Monday to Friday).

  • Directing vehicle and foot passenger traffic on the vessel, and to and from shore to the vessel

  • Performing additional duties as assigned which may include standby anchors during dockingparticipating in fire and boat drills; performing emergency duties; conducting checkoffs for self-contained breathing apparatus and firefighting; doing vehicle counts; assisting with annual refit and life raft exchange; spreading salt; splicing rope; taking inventory; and changing navigation lights 

 

What you bring to the team 

This position requires Marine Emergency duties training – STCW Basic Safety (MED A1 and MED B2) and Proficiency in Survival Craft (MED B1). You have the ability to react in a safe and effective manner during an emergency and to direct and control vehicles and passengers. You have a working knowledge of safe work practices and seamanship and ability to climb ladders, handle ships’ lines and move heavy objects.  

 

Preference may be shown to applicants with a Bridge Watch rating or higher certificate. Applicants must hold a valid Seafarers’ Medical Certificate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing project budgets and schedules with a Development Analyst to ensure the development is completed on time and within budget. 
  • Proactively manage the changes in project scope, identifying project risks and their potential impact on project performance, while proactively seeking risk mitigation strategies that save time and increase profitability
  • Support the acquisitions team by reviewing zoning bylaws, restrictive covenants, design guidelines and preliminary design drawings.
  • Visit prospective land opportunities to assess existing conditions, prepare a comprehensive condition assessment report, and working with Beedie’s land development team, identifying any site-specific costs or risks for the project.
  • Lead the consultant team with submission and rezoning applications, land subdivision and development permits and coordinate with municipal planning and building departments.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as City staff and commenting agencies. 
  • Negotiate effectively with municipal authorities, consultants, and external stakeholders to resolve disputes and facilitate timely approvals. 
  • Develop and manage entitlements and design schedules and ensure that key milestones are achieved on time and on budget.
  • Participate in the RFP process by reviewing proposals evaluating proposals, and prepare recommendations.
  • Lead Site Plan Approval process.
  • Work with the construction team to create building specifications for speculative developments based on market standard requirements.
  • Liaise and work with the Leasing and Operations team to ensure a seamless occupancy while meeting lease-up objectives. Conduct regular internal briefings, clearly communicating project status, milestones, risks, and opportunities to senior management. 
  • Ensuring accurate and timely reporting, if required.
  • Work with development team to generate building layouts for built-to-suit and speculative developments.
  • Participate in design meetings to analyze plans and specifications for coordination, constructability, value engineering, and completeness.
  • Work with the various stakeholders from initial contact through turnover to construction.
