What you'll do...

1. Efficiently picks and assembles orders from various temperature areas with great care and quality in mind to achieve “On Time” delivery to customers.
2. Packs orders with attention to detail including distinguishing between similar named products, exact quantity, correct product codes.
3. Ensures that products picked are of the highest quality i.e. no damaged products, freshest product selection etc.      
4. Correctly documents and labels all orders correctly through interpretation and understanding documentation including pick slips, packaging details, shipping labels, etc.     
5. Optimizes tote fill by packing orders in a space efficient manner while still ensuring product quality standards are maintained.
6. Balances fulfillment responsibilities with customer interaction and offering service including supporting issues to resolution.     
7. Ensures strict adherence to strict safety and food hygiene standards including maintaining a clean and hygienic work area, immediate clean up of all spills and debris and ensures all totes are clean and void of debris before packing; Operates material handling equipment in a safe and responsible manner and ensuring that all safety pre-inspection checks are completed before use; Exhibits behaviors that support the organization’s mission and core values.
8. Participates in continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting changes including but not limited to operational procedures, productivity standards and efficiencies, customer satisfaction, safety, working conditions and quality standards; Demonstrates flexibility in completing /adjusting to work assignments based on customer requests and meeting daily delivery schedules.

In this role you will:

  • Work with tools and perform physical labor depending on the nature of the repairs required (i.e. changing lights, minor millwork and plumbing repairs)
  • Respond to emergencies or other work situations beyond regular hours as required, often on short notice.
  • Manage and coordinate vendors and arrange for planned and preventative service as required (i.e. landscaping and snow removal)
  • Work with internal associates and vendors on a daily basis.

Qualifications

The Qualifications and Experience we like to see:

  • Trade experience (electrical, plumbing etc.) construction experience or property maintenance experience would be an asset

The Signals & Communications (S&C) Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all S&C signal systems, inspection activities, maintenance and installation programs and employees on an assigned territory.  

 

Main Responsibilities

 

Management

 

·       Lead assigned personnel to ensure signal and communications work is performed with CN’s and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) standards, and in conjunction of applicable collective bargaining agreements

 

·       Direct maintainers, recommend appropriate corrective actions to resolve performance issues, as well as respond and resolve grievances

 

Safety Compliance

 

·       Build safety compliance and improves safety results through efficiency testing and safety walkabouts

 

·       Provide positive and constructive feedback as well as coaching

 

Capital Projects

 

·       Plan, implement, and spearhead Capital projects to ensure execution of the plan within CN and FRA standards

 

Derailments and Disruptions

 

·       Participate in activities related to derailments and disruptions in service, while working with transportation and mechanical to establish cause and future prevention

 

Working Conditions

 

The role requires on having shift work which includes: irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays and a combination of office work and working outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
