Position Overview:
Eaton’s Milton Plant has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Assembler on our day shift. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position interprets the manufacturing information documents in order to mechanically assemble, fit and install prefabricated parts or modify basic components, sub-assemblies and structures using hand and power tools for the site's product lines.

In this function you will:

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

Reporting to the Shop Supervisor or Site Lead Hand, the Welder/Fitter ideally has 5-10 years of experience in a Fabrication or Machine Shop/Job shop environment. The Welder can perform custom welding/fabrication and has experience in machine repair/rebuild and custom fabrication.  

A technical diploma is preferred, while holding an Ontario Certificate of Qualification in Welding (456A). Preference will be given to candidates who also possess a Certificate of Qualification in Machinist (429A) and/or Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A).  The Welder/Fitter is familiar with welding using MIG/TIG/Stick operations and cutting tools like plasma and oxyacetylene. Job aid design/fabrication such as jigs, fixtures, gauges or familiarity with equipment like a waterjet, shear and brake press, working with Stainless Steel and Aluminum is a benefit.

This dynamic business development position is responsible for growing UPS Small Package business within the small customer segment. We offer flexible work location arrangements, a competitive salary plus commission pay structure to recognize and reward strong growth performance.

Primary responsibilities include prospecting for new customers while working with existing clients to retain and grow revenue within an assigned book of business. The successful candidate has exceptional relationship building and communication skills to effectively assess customer needs and present appropriate solutions to support both revenue growth and retention of existing business.  This position will be primarily remote; the successful candidate may be required to work from a UPS building if requested, as needed.

As a trusted advisor, our Business Development Representatives assist customers in navigating the ever-changing world of logistics. The selected applicant researches the competitive environment and uses product knowledge to generate creative and unique solutions to meet customer needs and business objectives.

Selected candidate must be flexible to work in the time zone based on the territory assigned. It also requires successful completion of the UPS Sales Academy, which is a comprehensive training program that will be delivered via a virtual format.

As available positions become available, the intended career path for an Inside Sales Representative would be to transition into an Account Executive role.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting for new clients to expand market share in the small customer segment.

  • Respond to and resolve customer inquiries timely and effectively.

  • Develop strong relationships with existing customers to support growth and ensure a positive customer experience with every interaction.

  • Creates and positions compelling value proposals to potential and existing customers.

  • Participate in weekly team meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:

  • English reading, writing and speaking are required

  • Prior business development experience, specifically in the B2B segment

  • Confident with strong communication and presentation skills

  • Experience using Salesforce and MS Office, preferred.

The evening Warehouse Worker position is a physical fast-paced and labor-intensive role within a warehouse environment that involves sorting/stocking packages as well as loading and unloading them into and out of UPS package delivery vehicles and trailers.

Job Type: Part-Time - Permanent

Work Location: 1101 Blair Road, Burlington ON L7M 1T3

Workdays: Monday to Friday

Shift Start: 5:00 PM Shift averages 3-5 hours a day. Start times/finish times may vary with operational need.  Flexibility required

Pay rate: $17.80/hr. (base rate of $17.30/hr. + an hourly bonus of $.50)

** APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK UP TO 25 HOURS PER WEEK**

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Load and unload packages into package delivery vehicles and trailers
  • Learn and properly execute company-established package handling methods
  • Sort and stock packages based on postal codes

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32kg) without assistance
  • Full availability to work Monday to Friday (all five days of the week)
  • Must be able to work 25 hours per week legally
  • Ability to read and memorize postal codes
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
  • Comfortable working inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles
