JOB SUMMARY


Reporting to the Manager, Rail Systems, the Engineer, Vehicle Systems is responsible to monitor, measure, audit and review the performance of the vehicle maintenance systems; manage the production of quality metrics to measure the soundness of the vehicle system engineering processes; provide a single point of contact for all technical issues and concerns regarding the vehicle fleets; track, trend, and analyse fleet reliability issues for new and existing fleets; oversee and provide direction and comments to fleet expansions; complete technical analysis of rail system failure modes; review and monitor operational requirements; and lead rail capital improvement projects.
 

In addition, the incumbent will provide technical support and design input during the procurement specification and tender phase of new orders; be responsible for the technical review of design submissions and responses to the RFIs; assist with the tracking and monitoring of vehicle quality issues during the vehicle procurement and maintenance phases; assist with investigations, root cause analysis, and technical reporting writing; assist with investigations in relation to systems operations and interrelated track and signal infrastructure issues; complete root cause analyses for system or sub-system failures/issues; manage the development and delivery of vehicle lifecycle & safety programs; and provide support to Transit Operations during major operational events.
 

The incumbent will also participate on technical committees and lead project teams to provide engineering expertise to discuss and resolve issues on projects internal and external to the department that may impact the operational requirements of the Transit Services Department

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


Four (4) year Bachelor of Applied Science or Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering
 

Seven (7) years experience in rail vehicle fleet engineering, maintenance and operation, testing and commissioning, overhaul planning, life cycle planning, and reliability improvement programs for new and existing fleets and experience transit and rail control/power control systems, railway integrated control systems and systems integration
 

Knowledge of rail systems including track, power systems, and signaling systems would be an asset

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENCES

Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)

KNOWLEDGE

Coke Canada Bottling Merchandisers work in local grocery stores helping our clients keep Coke Canada Bottling products fully stocked and available to consumers – keeping beverage sections, end caps, racks and displays filled. Merchandisers are our frontline ambassadors, providing superior service to clients and consumers. 

Flexible schedule : Weekdays and Weekends during day time, the working shifts may vary depending on the workload. Adjustments can always be made to this statement to better suit specific needs.

The ideal candidate will possess a valid driver's license and have reliable access to a vehicle for work-related purposes. 

 

We are currently seeking candidates for an entry-level position in the sales department at Coke Canada. This role offers an exciting opportunity for growth and development, with the potential for future career advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and replenish products in store racks, shelves, displays, and coolers by transporting product between backroom/storage room to front-of-store with manual or powered equipment (pallet jack, hand-truck).
  • Build, change or remove product displays while adhering to company standards; maintaining product signage; cleaning product space and securing damaged or defective product.
  • Repetitively lift, carry and position product (weight up to 50lbs or 22kgs) above shoulder height without assistance
  • Consistent kneeling, squatting and reaching above the head
  • Manage backroom by organizing stock (product); identifying, monitoring, and reporting inventory levels; evaluating and processing damaged product; re-packing product; organizing backroom materials (i.e., pallets, product shells etc.); completing any required paperwork
  • Follow all Coke Canada Bottling and Store policies regarding backroom, display floor, replenishment, equipment, and safety
  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area in compliance with Company safety and sanitation requirements.    
  • Maintain professional relationships with co-workers and customers.
  • Ability to push and pull manual and powered equipment (i.e. pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance
  • Ability to repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

Qualifications

  • Must be 17 years of age
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working in grocery, retail, warehousing or related field preferred
  • Experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks preferred
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working under little to no supervision preferred
  • Must have a personal vehicle for use during working hours
  • Must have current vehicle liability insurance
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record with no major violations over the last three (3) years

JOB SUMMARY

The mandate of Facility Operations is to operate and maintain all City facilities and City-managed buildings, which represents approximately 900 buildings and includes police, fire, libraries, child care, paramedic posts, recreation, culture, public works, City Hall and other administrative buildings, long-term care facilities, and facility outdoor property. The Facility Operations units deliver facility management and maintenance services within assigned geographic and/or specialty areas.

You are responsible for performing duties associated with the operation and maintenance of all City facilities including but not limited to; minor maintenance and carpentry tasks, painting, grounds maintenance, snow removal, basic repair duties for facilities equipment and general housekeeping tasks while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and customer service. You may be responsible to work rotational shifts including days, evenings and weekends. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Completion of Grade 10

Up to one month of related experience

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENCES

Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates are assets

Position purpose:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure and Systems, provides guidance and advice to clients in order to align the technology solutions and the business objectives and requirements from a Workday reporting perspective. Work closely with various business units and stakeholders to fulfill their requirements by configuring, maintaining and developing Workday reports. Effective reporting plays a crucial role in decision-making and overall business success and contributes significantly to the university's growth and performance.

 

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Business Analysis: Lead the evaluation of the business and operational requirements of client requests, to recommend the procedures, implementation, development and improvements deemed necessary. Write business cases and communicate these between IT teams, managers and others involved in the process. 
  • Business Requirements: Identify, design, and refine business process changes and transactions.  Develop a full understanding of business requirements in order to translate them into technical specifications to facilitate the development of new systems and ensure development efforts meet the needs of clients.
  • Testing: Design and execute business and end-user test scenarios and integration tests.  Ensure that the system meets the requirements in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, and security. Track, monitor and demonstrate completion of a requirement.
  • Documentation: Prepare technical reports and instructional manuals in order to document systems development and to support users with the use of new systems after implementation.  Document application functionality as well as the individual transactions tested, keeping track of the different levels of errors; package service requests, problem logs, and systems enhancements into evolution releases for the business area.
  • Technical Support and Services: Provide expertise to clients regarding the use of systems. Process various special requests from clients, including the upload or extraction of data and the management of specialized systems.

 

What you will bring:

  • University Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS) or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting business units and their IT needs
  • Knowledge of University’s business standards and processes
  • Knowledge of computing principles with understanding of business processes and cycles
  • Knowledge of Workday and Workday reporting for Human Resources would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of project management methods and practices
  • Knowledge of University’s established IT strategies, policies and procedures and how to apply these to client requirements
