SUMMARY
Responsibilities include access control, escalations, loss prevention, incident response, and reporting safety and security incidents. The successful candidate will use strong customer service skills and the ability to facilitate effective communication internally and externally to perform the job. They will respond to email, triage issues, and direct them to the proper authority for resolution. They also assist in the timely completion of reports. They perform administrative and miscellaneous duties as directed by management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Monitors physical security operations at the client.
2. Monitors cameras and access control systems covering data calls and entry/exit doors. 
3. Dispatches appropriate personnel, as necessary.  
4. Identifies and escalates issues in accordance with documented policies and procedures. 
5. Reviews all reports written during shift. 
6. Ensures all scheduled posts are filled. 
7. Maintains documentation and follows standardized procedures to successfully complete unannounced audits. 
8. Collects complete information for detailed report and appropriate follow-up. Prepares well written reports and maintains strict distribution to “need to know” parties. 
9. Cross-training will be provided for all site-based roles, enabling you to step in for other position coverage and offer relief breaks to guards, when required by operational needs.
10. Prepares written and electronic logs and reports as required for the site while entering information in appropriate computer systems. 
11. Read and comprehends standard operations procedures, post orders, reports, and other printed materials. 
12. Performs additional tasks assigned by management. 
13. Evaluates and escalates potential safety issues within the facility. 
14. Required to know and follow safe work practices, and to be aware of company policies and procedures related to job safety, including safety rules and regulations. Notify supervisor upon becoming aware of unsafe working conditions. 

MINIMUM HIRING STANDARDS:

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks as related to the powder application, liquid painting, and blasting of parts, and ensuring that a quality product is being produced.
• Powder coating parts using powder guns while maintaining Salford quality standards
• Manually blast frames and parts evenly with the correct profile
• Experienced with mixing paints for liquid application
• Clean and maintain the powder room
• Apply touch-ups on the Assembly line and work with the liquid booth when required
• Perform maintenance on the powder, blast, or liquid booths as required
• Use and read the various types of powder thickness and gloss gauges accurately

Reporting to the Manager, Occupational Health, Safety & Disability Management, you will be a key member of a team of professionals providing a range of expertise, consultation and advice to management in all aspects of disability management and applicable collective agreements, policies and procedures. You are a solutions-oriented leader with considerable knowledge of occupational (WSIB) and non-occupational disability management, as well as short-term and long-term disability, return to work and attendance management.

What will you do?

• Participate on a team of People & Equity professionals providing consultation and advice to managers in all aspects of disability management.
• Provide consultation, interpretation and direct human resource services to a group of divisions in all areas of Disability Management such as planning, implementing, advocating, promoting and monitoring of occupational and non-occupational disability management strategies and programs.
• Responsible for all aspects of WSIB claims management utilizing the City's QuatroSafety system.
• Provide consultation on the assessment of return to work processes, accommodation and work modification needs. Provide guidance on an ongoing basis to management staff on disability matters, including consultation of return to work for injured or ill workers.

What do you bring to the role?

1. Post-secondary degree or diploma in related discipline, (i.e. Disability Management studies, Accommodation Management, Human Resources, Health and Safety, etc.), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Considerable practical experience in disability case management, workplace accommodations and consultancy for both occupational (WSIB) and non-occupational injuries/illnesses
3. Working experience with WSIB policies, practices and procedures, including knowledge of the WSIB and WSIAT appeals process (i.e. preparing written submissions and appearing at appeals). Experience in WSIB management for a Schedule 2 Employer is an asset.
