This position supervises Roadways crews undertaking summer and winter road, back lane and sidewalk operations and maintenance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervises, trains, directs and evaluates staff engaged in operations and maintenance of streets, sidewalks and back lanes in the Roadways Section.
- Ensures work activities of crews are performed in accordance with approved standards and procedures to ensure quality work, achievement of service level commitments and the safety of crews and the public.
- Maintains comprehensive records and monitors and reports work progress daily.

Qualifications

- Provides passengers with information about schedules, stops and presents the fare.
- Ensures passengers safety when boarding, riding and leaving buses.
- Reports all operational problems, such as delays and mechanical problems, according to established procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 education.
- Three years’ experience in public transportation service delivery, including two years customer service experience.
- Possession of a valid Class 2A Learners Licence.
- Current driver’s abstract from SGI demonstrating a safe driving record.
- Thorough knowledge of the geographic layout of the City of Saskatoon.
- Demonstrated ability to deal courteously and tactfully with the public.
- Knowledge of, and empathy with, the transportation needs of persons with disabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, civic departments and outside agencies.
- Physical ability to perform the assigned duties and work in all climates.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming materials verifying shipment quantities and for quality assurance.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
- Perform daily safety checks and operate general material handling equipment, including forklifts.

Qualifications
- Grade 12 education.

- Ability to complete WHMIS, TDG, and Forklift Certification with 3 months of hire.
- Possession of a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers license.
- SAP or ERP experience is considered an asset

- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
