Responsibilities

As an Arrow Driver for our Quesnel Fibre Division, you will be Home Everyday!  Our Professional Drivers haul wood fibre locally in B train trailers. Wood fibre is mainly comprised of wood chips, but we also haul sawdust and hog fuel. You will travel on various highways in and around Quesnel and Northern BC.

 

  • Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation, application of safe practices, compliance with applicable Acts and Regulations.
  • Perform pre and post and en route trip inspections on equipment operated, ensuring safety, road-worthiness and regulatory compliance.
  • Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, load securement, driver's hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, and weights and dimensions.
  • Record, Maintain and Check all relevant paperwork (i.e. bill of lading,) and documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
  • Operate equipment such as truck cab computers, two way radios, and telephones to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.
  • Complete electronic logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status.
  • Ensure that all customers, co-workers and the public are dealt with professionally and with respect.

You Possess

Responsibilities

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating loaders, excavators, and other heavy machinery to manage the handling and flow of bulk mineral concentrates—primarily copper, gold, and ore—within the terminal. This includes pushing product into designated storage areas, maintaining pit and tipper areas, supporting efficient vessel loading operations by pushing product from the warehouse floor into a designated loading pit (or hopper), which feeds a conveyer belt system used to load ocean-going vessels docked at the port. Operators also maintain safe and efficient conditions in and around the tipping area, storage zones, and loading infrastructure, while supporting ongoing site maintenance.


Major Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment (e.g., loaders, excavators) to move, level, and stockpile copper/gold concentrate and ore within the warehouse and yard.
  • Push product into designated storage areas in the warehouses.
  • Push product into the loading pit/hopper, which feeds the ship-loading conveyer belt system, ensuring consistent material flow during vessel loading.
  • Maintain clean and safe conditions around the pit, tipper, and warehouse, removing any excess or spilled material that could interfere with operations.
  • Monitor material flow into the chute/conveyer belt during vessel loading and communicate with the Port Foreman to coordinate timing and volumes.
  • Communicate clearly with truck drivers and other team members to coordinate safe and efficient product movement.
  • Perform snow removal as needed to maintain safe access throughout the terminal.
  • Perform routine inspections and light maintenance on equipment; report any mechanical issues to maintenance staff.
  • Comply with all terminal safety procedures, environmental regulations, and reporting protocols.
  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training as required.
  • Cross-train in other operational tasks and assist during vessel loading or shutdown periods.
  • Other duties as assigned by Port Foreman or Division Manager.

You Possess

  • Valid Heavy Equipment Operator Certificate is an asset
  • Previous experience operating heavy mobile equipment (Cat 980 or equivalent Front End Loader and Cat D6 or equivalent Dozer experience).
  • Minimum 2,000 hours of loader and/or excavator operation in an industrial, mining, or bulk material handling environment.
  • Experience working in a port, terminal, mining, or bulk commodity setting is considered a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with equipment maintenance procedures; mechanical aptitude (welder, mechanic, or machinist experience) is a bonus but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform routine equipment inspections and minor preventative maintenance.
  • A strong safety mindset and commitment to maintaining a hazard-free work environment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, wind, and sub-zero temperatures.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with strong interpersonal skills for working in a tight-knit, team-based industrial environment.

he Security Guard Team Member is responsible for all aspects of perimeter security including access & egress of persons and vehicles on site throughout the duration of their shift. The Security Team Member reports to the Assistant Security Manager. 

Position: Security Guard 

Status: Full Time  

Location: Woodstock, ON and Cambridge, Ontario

Pay: $18.57-$20.41/hour (Progressive Pay Scale)

Shift details: Rotational 12-hour shifts (Days, Nights and Weekend Availability required) 

QUALIFIED APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Valid Class G Driver’s License. 
  • Valid Ontario Security License. 
  • Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR Certificate. 
  • Minimum Grade 12 or GED equivalent. 
  • Law & Security, Police Foundations, or equivalent post-secondary diploma preferred. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

  • Conduct Mobile patrols of all premises. 
  • Complete concise incident reports for all deficiencies. 
  • Monitor traffic flow through entrances and exits as well as deter any trespassers. 
  • Provide access control and vehicle searches. 
  • Perform front entrance reception duties as required. 
  • Conduct random bag checks as directed. 
  • Provide support to cover all designated site posts as directed. 
  • Follow post orders, and site policies and procedures. 
  • Understand and promote the Securitas Quality objectives: Integrity, Vigilance, Helpfulness.
  • Perform daily inspection and maintenance of security patrol vehicles and report deficiencies.
  • Protect staff and contractors on site. 
  •  Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when    security breaches occur.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous security experience preferred. 
  • Ability to respond to situations with tact and diplomacy and remain calm in stressful situations. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods as required. 
  • Intermediate level use Microsoft Applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word. 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask required.
