Are you ready to join an exciting and dynamic team? We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join us as a Warehouse Associate. Reporting to a Warehouse Supervisor you will play a crucial role in our warehouse process. 

As a  Warehouse Associate I, you will establish and follow best practices and procedures for product receiving, picking, sorting, counting, and shipping in accordance with weekly sales orders, ensuring that all products are handled with care and attention to detail. Reporting to the Warehouse Team Lead and/or Supervisor,  you will be expected to maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency in your work, while also adhering to HelloFresh’s safety and quality standards.

What you will be doing:

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering  to HelloFresh’s safety policies, wearing personal protective equipment (ppe) and clothing as required, and promptly reporting any workplace hazards to First Aid and Supervisors
  • Adhere to all food safety standards in the handling and storage of food products
  • Receive and unload incoming shipments of food products, packaging, and supplies, verifying the accuracy and quality of the shipment against the packing slip and invoice or purchase order
  • Count and weigh items as per standard operating procedures  to verify the information on the shipment documents
  • Label, tag, and store items in their designated location(s) in the warehouse according to food safety and inventory procedures
  • Conduct inventory movements both physically and digitally as required.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and cycle counts and updated inventory records in the warehouse management system to ensure inventory accuracy and reduce inventory buildup
  • Ensure that the First In, First Out (FIFO) and First Expired, First Out (FEFO) method is followed when storing and picking products to maintain product freshness and minimize waste
  • Collaborate closely with the Production Management team to establish work priorities, optimize material flow, and promptly report any potential risks that may impact the production schedule;  Ensure that the Pick and Pack team has all the necessary food products, packaging materials, and supplies required to perform their duties with maximum efficiency and effectiveness
  • Create and issue tickets for the daily delivery shorts and non-deliveries. Ensure that tickets are clearly communicated to the correct stakeholders so that they can be fixed
  • Identify quality issues with incoming product and work collaboratively with the teams to ensure that only the best products are accepted into our facility
  • Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organized and free of hazards at all times 
  • Prepare ship out documents and ensure the ship out is completed within the time limit
  • Learn and use HelloFresh’s warehouse management systems and databases
  • Work with compliance with OH&S acts and regulations.
  • Use personal protective and safety equipment and clothing as directed by the employer and report workplace hazards and dangers to the supervisor or employer.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Foster a positive and respectful work environment by maintaining professional communication and behavior with coworkers and promoting a sense of teamwork and collaboration

At a minimum, you have: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Willing and able to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs
  • Has experience with standing for prolonged periods including regular bending, twisting, and walking
  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of warehouse experience in a food processing, manufacturing, or service industry
  • Familiar with MS Office and/or Google Apps and comfortable learning new technologies. 
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with Inventory management and control
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy looking consistently for potential food safety or quality deviations.
  • Willing and able to work in a refrigerated and freezer environment (-20°C to 4°C)
  • Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Certification is considered an asset

The MD Admissions Advisor is responsible for coordinating the admissions process for the Cumming School of Medicines MD Program. Position Description

Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):

  • Program Coordination
    • Provides technical assistance/advice to applicants and referees during the application cycle
    • Advises applicants on accurately entering transcript information into UCAN and advises on the calculation of their GPA
    • Assists applicants with graduate degree forms and general advice with the online application process
    • Manages the intake of thousands of transcripts and prepares them for entry into UCAN, including manual uploading and prepping for outside agency to scan
    • Liaises with main campus recruiters to advise them of the current requirements to the MD program
    • Liaises with the Leaders in Medicine (LIM) Program Coordinator and LIM Director regarding incoming students and current requirements for both programs
    • Accountable for the Applicant Manual and ensures it is updated and edited for the start of the application process
    • Coordination of the Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI) in collaboration with the Assistant Dean and Manager
    • Works closely with the Admissions Team in the admission offer process, including acceptance emails, waiting lists and refusals
    • Verifies the list of admitted students
    • Meets and advises prospective students to answer any specific questions before sending an application
    • Advises candidates whose file requires special attention owing to exceptional circumstances 
  • Leadership
    • Communicates as required with other medical school Admissions Offices regarding common issues
    • Advises current/prospective applicants to the MD program in both a one-one-one and group setting regarding the requirements for application into the MD program, and guides them through the admissions process
    • Corresponds with current/prospective applicants via email, phone or mail regarding the MD admissions requirements
    • Coordinates meetings and workshops for the Admissions Selection Committee (ASC). This includes recruiting ASC members, attending meetings, taking the minutes and supporting the ASC Committee as required
    • Advises and assists other college/high school career advisors on the MD admissions process
    • Represents the Cumming School of Medicines MD Program on the MD Admissions process, on and off campus, to prospective students
    • Plans and implements recruitment activities for high schools and post-secondary institutions, and evaluates the success of these recruitment efforts
    • Working closely with the Admissions Assistant Dean and manages ongoing strategic communications with high school and post-secondary independent counselors, including email, print, web and other media

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience is required
  • Experience in an undergraduate medical environment is required
  • Previous experience in an advisory role is required
  • Ability to successfully manage and keep track of large volumes of applicant inquiries and provide accurate and timely advice is required
  • The ability to work independently demonstrating good judgment in a fast-paced environment with many conflicting priorities
  • Ability to work outside of regular work hours as required. Regular work week schedule (Monday to Friday - 830 am – 430 pm) with occasional variances in start and end time, and may be expected to attend events or provide service outside normal working hours
  • Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal communication skills, including written and verbal required
  • Strong critical thinking, judgement and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet strict and multiple timelines
  • Ability to work effectively individually and as a team member
  • Excellent computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • PeopleSoft and UCAN experience is an asset
  • Strong organization, multi-tasking and time management skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in business or a related field of study; A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. 
  • 1 year of experience in a health/medical research environment is required.
  • 3 years of administration experience with an emphasis on decision-making and highly developed organizational skills.
  • Experience in an academic environment is preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of ii’ taa’poh’to’p, and its key concepts, particularly parallel paths, ethical space and transformation.

MD Financial Management, a division of Scotia Wealth Management, has an exciting opportunity for a talented, enthusiastic, and client-focused Financial Consultant to join our team.

 

As a Financial Consultant, you will be accountable for developing comprehensive and personalized financial plans and specific investment strategies for physician clients and their families tied to the physician lifecycle and various life events.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Build rapport and trusted relationships with your clients through active listening and by developing an appreciation of what’s important to the client. You’ll recommend an approach based on the client’s level of understanding and interest tailored to their specific needs.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to prospect and grow the client base, while ensuring retention of clients through strong relationship building and the development of comprehensive financial plans. 
  • As part of a broader network of MD financial experts, you will facilitate a team approach by actively partnering with MD Private Investment Counsel (discretionary management), MD Private Trust (estate and executor services), Scotia Wealth Insurance Services and Scotiabank (Private Banking, Mortgages, etc..). You will also work to ensure client needs are pro-actively addressed in alignment with their current financial situation and life stage as well as their future aspirations.

  • A commitment to compliance and an understanding of industry regulations, and associated requirements
  • Comfort in facilitating seminars and information meetings

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a broader team
  • An elevated level of comfort with technology 

 

The Must Haves:

  • University degree or college diploma in business, commerce or financial planning
  • Licensed as a Registered Representative (Securities) including completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) and 90-day training
  • Licensed through The Mutual Funds Dealers Association of Canada (MFDA) will be considered, with a requirement to become a fully licensed Registered Representative (Securities) as per CIRO guidelines, by the requisite regulatory deadlines
  • Life License (LLQP)
  • Wealth Management Essentials (post-licensing requirement)
