PURPOSE OF POSITION:

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Test brakes and loading including Locator qualification and ensure the crew to crew form is filled out
• Perform required pre-departure safety inspections and run-through’s within terminals Type “D” and affect minor repairs as required
• Low voltage electrical work
• Must obtain / maintain Shop Track Operations Curriculum (STOC) and Locomotive Safety Inspection (LSI) certification.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Main Purpose & Function 
The Automotive Service Worker (Police) requires the incumbent to perform semi-skilled servicing and repair work on a variety of Police and City fleet including equipment.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

The Automotive Service Worker performs servicing, minor repairs, and fueling either in the shop or in the field as instructed. Other duties include cleaning of the shop, vehicles, equipment and car wash as directed and all other related duties. Fleet and Manufacturing Services personnel are responsible for entering real time data into Fleet and Manufacturing Services' electronic fleet management system to track fleet maintenance. After initial instructions, oral or written, from the supervisor, work is to be performed in accordance with prescribed schedules and subject to a quality review and conformance to established standards.

The successful candidates must be able to work an 8-hour shift, which includes a paid meal break during which time the employee shall remain on duty. The current hours of work are from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Thursday to Monday. This position requires the flexibility to work shift work, including weekend days, afternoons and graveyard shifts. Reporting to the Manager, Real Estate the Leasing Specialist will support the national Real Estate Transactions team. The Leasing Specialist will be involved in both transactions and administration, responsible for maintaining a dynamic national database of current & future renewal, acquisition, and disposition projects, completing value-add reporting, and completing transactions for a portfolio of transmission tower & telecom sites.

The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter, with superior time management and process management skills. Travel is not required as part of the position.

What you will do:

• Negotiate renewals for a portfolio of wireline critical infrastructure sites, including   broadcast towers, as both tenant and landlord.

• Negotiate renewals for ancillary sites, as needed, such as office, warehouse, parking.

• Manage a national database of lease notice dates for the Transactions team.

• Develop templates for ongoing and year-end performance and productivity reporting.

• Ensure consistency and accuracy of information captured in database to maintain adherence to contractual obligations.

• Process lease-related payables and receivables.

• Work with internal Real Estate Managers and third-party service provider to ensure adherence to documentation & reporting processes.

What you will bring:

• 3-5 years’ experience negotiating or facilitating commercial real estate transactions.

• Experience interpreting commercial real estate documentation, and/or managing a real estate database.

• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint skills.

• Experience using databases to generate reports on productivity and future workload.

• Competency in communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• University Degree/College Diploma an asset.

• Bilingual (English/French) oral and written language skills are an asset.
