The transitional care model supports patients/families who require additional time, services, and support to transition back to home/community, by providing an alternate space with intentional programming, building design, and resource allocation to increase the probability of returning to their previous living situation.
The Administrative Coordinator is integral in managing the clerical duties required to support the admission, inpatient stay, and discharge processes required to support patient’s transition home.

About the Opportunity
•    Manages clerical aspects of the admission, discharge, and transfer processes.
•    Receives and routes telephone calls, greets and directs visitors as appropriate; provides routine information and responds to inquiries from clients, visitors, and staff; refers to appropriate person as necessary. 
•    Maintains and distributes all nursing forms. 
•    Prepares photocopies and facsimiles and operates a variety of office equipment; maintains and distributes office supplies. 
•    Establishes, maintains, processes, and updates files, records, and other documents, including master lists, client admissions/ transfers / discharges; maintains client discharge files. 
•    Monitors fire alarm panel, security alarm panel and front door and follows safety and security duties as per facility policy. 
•    May book medical appointments and arranges transportation.
•    Ensures client safety by following and applying all standard operational procedures, safe work practices and training provided.
•    Prepares requisitions for diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients and coordinates appointments with other departments.    
•    Accepts and schedules appointments, makes appropriate entries, completes required hospital forms, and notifies appropriate staff; 
•    Routes records/requisitions to departments as required to diagnostic and treatment procedures or consultation. 
•    Uploads all reports on chart. 


About You
•    High School Diploma or equivalent
•    A graduate of an approved 2 year Office Administration / Professional Secretarial diploma or university degree (i.e., Bachelor of Secretarial Science)
•    Medical Terminology 
•    Previous experience working in a health field is considered an asset 
•    Ability to type 80 words per minute;

Job Summary

This position handles day-to-day communication and training of newly hired Peak Season Driver Helpers/Walkers. This role helps coordinate the needs and efforts of the operation to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction is met. And also, will assists in facilitating the smooth execution of procedures and management of systems.

Job Type:Full-Time /Seasonal

Workdays:Monday to Friday (this position goes until mid-January/25)

Shift Hours:8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Shift Duration:40 hrs. per week (requires flexibility with the Start and Finish time)

Work Location:2900 STEELES AVENUE WESTCONCORD, ON L4K 3S2

Hourly Wage:$20.23per hour

Key Responsibilitiesand Duties

  • Coordinates staffing needs as volume fluctuates. 

  • Trains and helps on-board new Driver Helpers. 

  • Resolves questions or concerns as they arise. 

  • Liaison between Supervisor Group and Driver Helpers/Walkers reporting to this position.

  • Support local internal operations daily tasks if it is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or international equivalent inBusiness or Supply Chain programs - Preferred

  • Previous supervisor/coordinator experience

  • Previous driver/delivery/helper experience

  • Advanced computer skills:Access data base, SharePoint 365, Word, Excel and PowerPoint(Microsoft Office)

  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills

  • Strong research tactics and organization skills

Driver Helper/Walker Part-time Job

Job Details

This part-time seasonal position assists UPS Package Drivers with deliveries and pick-ups of UPS packages at UPS drop boxes and customer locations in and around Etobicoke Area. This role involves performing physical work in a fast-paced environment including continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages. This position ensures the best customer service through efficiency and dedication.

*NO DRIVING REQUIRED*

Job type(s): Part-time, Seasonal
Work Location: Etobicoke, ON (Postal Codes-M8, M9's)

Workdays: Monday through Friday (All five days of the week)

Shift Start:  Start time will vary between 10:30 AM - 3:00 PM.  Depending on operational needsstart times & finish times may vary.  Flexibility required

Pay rate: $17.30/hr.

** APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK UP TO 25 HOURS PER WEEK**

Responsibilities:

  • Meet UPS driver at the assigned local meet point
  • Deliver and pick up UPS packages efficiently and effectively on foot in residential or commercial area
  • Learn and properly execute UPS package handling/delivery methods

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 hours a day, start times & finish times may vary depending on operational needs- Flexibility required
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. (32 kg) unassisted
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Employees must wear a company-provided vest, black pants, and dark brown or black boots
  • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to deliver packages by means of walking
  • Work hours may vary depending on the work volume
