How you will make contributions that matter:
- Process cheese into required packaging while ensuring the line is properly supplied and routine quality checks are performed to meet required product specifications (eg: weight, dimension)

As a Machine Operator, you will operate various machines in the fabrication department.
Responsibility
- Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings (blueprints), and/or work orders.
- Operate, and monitor machinery with minimal supervision to ensure proper functioning and production output.
- Operate small hand tools, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the job's needs.
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process and adjust as needed.
- Record Production data and maintain logs to track machine performance and output.
- Inspect finished products for adherence to specifications and quality standards; identify and address any defects or issues.
- Assisting with routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance; identify and report any mechanical issues to the fabrication supervisor.
- Must work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, Company rules, policies, and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by the lead hand or supervisor.
Academic/Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred
Required Skills/Experience
- Previous experience as a machine operator or in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
- Experience operating machinery and knowledge of advanced manufacturing techniques such as 5S would be considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in using measuring tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs with the assistance of a lifting device.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot by identifying mechanical errors.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane (training will be provided)
