This position falls under the Technical and Engineering Services sector. This sector of activity is responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance and repairs to equipment and systems.
 
 
Responsibility :
 
  • Provide preventive maintenance and routine repairs to mechanical systems (HVAC, chilled water distribution, hot water and steam distribution, ultrapure water, vacuum and other building systems). 
  • Perform routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems and make repairs.
  • Review assigned work orders and use existing systems to track progress.
  • Promote good energy management by ensuring that all building systems operate efficiently.
  • Inspect existing facilities to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Apply existing procedures to resolve problems head on. Communicate information in a clear and concise manner.

About the Role:
 
As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment.
 
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
 
What You'll Do:
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical (HVAC, chilled water distribution, hot water and steam distribution, ultra-pure water, vacuum and other building systems)
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, respond to alarms and emergency situations and make repairs.
  • Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
  • Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
  • Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.

Our requirements:
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • The successful candidate must register and maintain certification in the Controlled Goods Program.
  • Certificate of Competence - Occupation (CCO), Journeyman (CCC) or Apprentice (CCA) is required. 
  • Fixed machinery mechanic certificate, class 4B is an asset. Experience not required.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting and carrying heavy loads up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to follow basic work rules and standards in the performance of duties.
  • Communication skills to convey information effectively.
  • Good knowledge of English and French is required as this role requires regular communication in English and French with clients and staff located in all Canadian provinces and the United States. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. For example, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
 
What You'll Need:

Job Details

To provide accurate information and assistance to customers requiring direct customer interface. To perform administrative duties necessary for efficient operations. Promotes continued sales and generating potential incremental revenue wherever possible.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

High school diploma/equivalent. College diploma preferred

Knowledge of Canadian Customs regulations preferred

Knowledge of FedEx Express and Ground products and services preferred

Ability to successfully complete all basic and recurrency training.

Must have the ability to lift 70 lbs and to maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment

Must be able to complete and achieve minimum thresholds on any mandatory testing and training

Must be able to operate in a PC windows environment

Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills

Good analytical and problem solving skills

Good negotiation skills

Demonstrated ability to handle stress and work in a highly pressured, monitored and changing work environment

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter:

  • Manage OS deployments via Microsoft Windows Autopilot.
  • Design and maintenance of the Microsoft Intune and Configuration manager environments.
  • Automate tasks using PowerShell, MS Graph, and Intune.
  • Lead the documentation and design of our Autopilot, Intune, Configuration manager environments.
  • Manage virtual desktop and virtual application deployments with Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Maintain Standard OS images via SCCM.
  • Package and deploy applications in Intune.

  • Solve problems that may arise from day-to-day operations (Level 3).

You Are Best Suited for The Role If You Have the Following Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing and supporting Autopilot in a large corporate environment.
  • Experience implementing Co-management with Intune and Configuration Manager in a large corporate environment.
  • Experience writing efficient and clear PowerShell scripts to automate device remediation.
  • Motivated to work in a fast-paced environment with leading edge technology.
  • Passionate about technology.
  • Experience managing devices (Windows, iOS, Android) with Microsoft Intune.
  • Experience implementing the Apple device enrollment program.
  • Experience packaging/Deploying software with Intune.
  • Experience creating/maintaining Windows 11 task sequences in Configuration Manager.
  • Experience deploying/maintaining Office 365 client via Intune.
  • Experience with Intune Configuration profiles and Microsoft Group Policy.
  • Experience using Sysinternals tools for advanced troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities
  • Experience carrying out small- and large-scale technical projects with a demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing with team members
  • Willingness to work beyond business hours and be on call, as necessary, to minimize downtime during planned or unexpected modifications to the network/system
  • Willingness to travel, as required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate exchanges with business stakeholders
  • Bilingual - English (a must) and French (a plus)
