PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

In this challenging role you will be member of a team working in a high production environment performing preventative and corrective maintenance to a diverse fleet of heavy equipment

 

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • The job  is within a heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the facility. Depending on the area you work in, the environmental conditions may be hot, cold, dirty, dusty, wet or noisy

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and replenish products in store racks, shelves, displays, and coolers by transporting product between backroom/storage room to front-of-store with manual equipment (pallet jack, hand-truck).
  • Build, change or remove product displays while adhering to company standards; maintaining product signage; cleaning product space and securing damaged or defective product.
  • Follow all Coke Canada Bottling and Store policies regarding backroom, display floor, replenishment, equipment, and safety.
  • Manage backroom by organizing stock (product); identifying, monitoring, and reporting inventory levels; evaluating and processing damaged product; re-packing product; organizing backroom materials (i.e., pallets, product shells etc.); completing any required paperwork.
  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area in compliance with Company safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Maintain professional relationships with co-workers and customers.
     
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Repetitively lift, carry and position product (weight up to 50lbs or 22kgs) above shoulder height without assistance.
    • Consistent kneeling, squatting and reaching above the head.
    • Ability to push and pull manual and powered equipment (i.e. pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance.
    • Ability to repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
    • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Qualifications

  • Must be 17 years of age.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working in grocery, retail, warehousing or related field preferred.
  • Experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working under little to no supervision preferred.
  • Must have a personal vehicle for use during working hours
  • Must have current vehicle liability insurance.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record with no major violations over the last three (3) years.

What you will do:

  • The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling new products to meet branch sales objectives and achieve sales results
  • Maintains and optimizes strong customer relationships with existing customers while developing new customer potential by offering professional, effective and efficient solutions
  • Provide quotations, technical support, literature, and other support/materials for customers
  • Responsible for new business development by examining market opportunities and potential customer needs while tailoring products and services and offering solutions to potential customers
  • Participates in setting branch sales objectives and is accountable for achieving sales results (revenue, gross margin, account targets and monthly sales quotas)
  • Advises the branches of pricing competitiveness to achieve margin expectations while, at the same time, ensuring flexibility in gaining large volume and/or new customer accounts
  • Pro-actively communicates with Branch Management on all aspects of customer alliances ensuring customers and branch expectations are met in a manner consistent with contract terms and any issues are immediately addressed

  • Participates in trade shows, training and associated product meetings where appropriate
  • Creating a weekly travel and call schedule with Branch Management
  • Interpret and extract information from project drawings/blueprints

 

 

What you will bring:

  • A minimum two (2) plus years’ of experience in a similar role with a proven track record of profitable sales and cold-calling experience, preferably within the waterworks wholesale distribution industry
  • Able to meet and exceed expectations regarding sales quotas and targets
  • Must be deadline driven and have an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong ability to work independently to efficiently manage the assigned territory and accounts
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships
  • Demonstrate initiative with the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team-based environment
  • Highly organized in prioritizing work and multi-tasking
  • Comfortable with commuting to various client calls
