Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of all systems associated with CPKC's Work Equipment group, including mechanical, electrical and hydraulic machinery/equipment.

 

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of all systems associated with Work Equipment (Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic)
  • Make Inspections and tests. Repair or replace parts with limited resources in remote locations outdoors

Coke Canada Bottling Bulk Drivers are responsible for the delivery of pre-ordered products to assigned accounts. This is a short-haul role and all driving will be locally based, but there are a few routes per week that may require overnights. 

 

The Details:

This is a Full-time position that will start ASAP. Standard work week is 40 hours with the potential for overtime during our peak seasons. 

 

Wage: $32.69

Schedule: Monday-Thursday (10Hrs), or Monday-Friday (8Hrs), Potential for overnight routes

Hours: 40 hours/week

Responsibilities

  • Shift: AM, PM or overnight.

  • Deliver pre-ordered products to customers on assigned route using a Coke Canada Bottling fleet truck.

  • Check accuracy and stability of truck load.

  • Follow all Coke Canada Bottling and Store policies regarding equipment and safety.

  • Maintain professional relationships with co-workers and customers.

  • Repetitively lift, carry and position product (weight up to 50lbs or 22kgs) above shoulder height without assistance - most route require product to be offloaded and brought into the customer location.

  • Merchandising product into customer location as needed.

  • Ability to push and pull manual and powered equipment (i.e. pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance.

  • Collect company property.

  • Follow all Coke Canada Bottling and Store policies regarding backroom, display floor, replenishment, equipment, and safety.

  • Maintain professional relationships with co-workers and customers.

Qualifications

  • Commercial License with Air (Class 1 or AZ) with no major violations over the last three (3) years.

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • One (1) plus year of commercial driving experience preferred.

  • One to three years of general work experience preferred.

  • Local delivery experience preferred.

  • Ability to repetitively lift, carry and position product (weight up to 50lbs or 22kgs) above shoulder height without assistance.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Moving, marshalling and building Locomotive consists within Mechanical Shop Track Operations and delivering Locomotive to departure areas, along with fueling and cleaning the locomotives.  By applying to this job you will be put into a pool of candidates that will be used throughout the year to fill positions when they become available in this area. POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Fuel, sand, clean yard and road locomotives, locomotive cabs and re-supply cab amenities, as required
  • Test, clean and recharge locomotive toilets and toilet rooms
  • Perform inspections on Yard and Road Locomotive trucks, fuel tanks, brake adjusters, MU cables, cab equipment, spark arrestor
  • Inspect, change-out and perform minor repairs/adjustments, and/or replace Yard and Road Locomotive components
  • Adjusting and changing of any necessary safety components, brakes, hoses, light bulbs, head lamps, seats, arm rests, sun visors, bell cartridges, water pressure caps, windshield wipers, wiper motors, side view mirrors, radios, CDUs, Locator radios, sand hoses, sand nozzles, brake travel, and change brake shoes, fire extinguishers as required
  • Inspect, top-up all fluid levels, oil, water, governor oil, air compressor oil. Take oil samples, as Required
  • Test all cab electrical devices, set-up cab brakes as per requirements of the train operations, test all safety devices
  • Test brakes and loading including Locator qualification and ensure the Crew to crew form is filled out
  • Perform required pre-departure safety inspections and run-through’s within terminals Type “D” and affect minor repairs as required
  • Low voltage electrical work
  • Must obtain / maintain Shop Track Operations Curriculum (STOC) and Locomotive Safety Inspection (LSI) certification.
  • Other duties as required as per collective agreement

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous mechanical experience and/or knowledge of rolling equipment preferred
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Commercial driver’s license ( Class 1A,3A ) preferred
  • Must obtain / maintain commercial driver’s license to operate fuel/servicing truck
  • Must be able to work any of three shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
  • Must have ability to wear safety equipment and work in an environment with grease, oil and cleaning agents.
