Key Duties & Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Inventory Coordinator or Parts Management Technician, this position is responsible for all warehousing functions including shipping, receiving, and material handling in designated warehouse and storage areas.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Inspect incoming materials verifying shipment quantities and for quality assurance.
2. Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
3. Perform daily safety checks and operate general material handling equipment, including forklifts. 
4. Issues inventory in accordance with materials requisitions and material requests.
5. Promote and adhere to a safe working environment, organizes, and cleans warehouses and stores areas.
6. Complete inventory cycle counts and assists with/or resolves discrepancies as required.

This position performs supervisory functions related to the Customer Care Centre and monitors public inquiries on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a two-year, post-secondary program in a related field.
• Four to six years’ experience in customer service, including two years’ in a supervisory role.

Under supervision of the Superintendent, this position maintains and repairs a variety of vehicles and related equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Reviews work orders, carries out repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of vehicles and related equipment.
• Inspects vehicles and equipment, including road tests where necessary, and tests various systems and components to determine specific problems.
• Adjusts, repairs and replaces parts and components of vehicles and equipment using hand tools and other specialized equipment.
• Tests and adjusts repaired systems to manufacturer's performance specifications.
• Inspects civilian vehicles, as required, to assist Police with vehicle condition assessments.
• Measures the accuracy of Police vehicle speedometers, as required, and submits certificates to court as evidence.

Qualifications

• Coordinates, assigns and supervises the work of staff assigned to the maintenance program for facilities; supports management in regards to the work performance of staff.
• Assigns and tracks facility preventative maintenance and general maintenance requests using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS, e.g.TMA etc.)
