  • Ability to lift, push and pull heavy items as well as climb ladders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, clients and the general public.
  • Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays and shifts as assigned as well as work in multiple locations.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, prepare and maintain manual and electronic records.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for a broad range of maintenance activities that are performed to keep UPS package handling facilities operating efficiently and effectively. The work is sometimes fast-paced and requires routine interaction with other operations employees.

  • Troubleshooting adjusting and replacing AC and DC electrical equipment such as batteries, control stations, fuses, motor starters, relays, switches and timers.
  • Inspecting troubleshooting repairing and/or replacing pneumatic equipment such as puck sorters, flow splitters, diverters, air compressors, lubricators, hoses and coils.
  • Inspecting troubleshooting repairing and/or replacing hydraulic equipment such as hoses, fittings, cylinders and pumps.
  • Welding equipment such as hand rails, conveyor supports, package handling equipment, carts and grating.
  • Performing preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment such as conveyors, bulk carts, and power industrial equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Possession of a valid 5760 Industrial Construction and Maintenance Mechanic or 5781 Automated Systems Electromechanic Certification of Qualification is highly preferred but extensive relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience performing maintenance on industrial equipment.
  • Ability to receive and give instruction over radio in industrial environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Assets:

  • Experience of performing maintenance on conveyor belts.
  • Knowledge of plumbing and building schematics.
  • Knowledge of keyboard and basic computer skills.

Job Details
UPS is looking for individuals who enjoy working in a physical, fast-paced, outdoor environment that involves delivering packages in residential areas for UPS. Package Delivery Drivers must have excellent customer contact and driving skills.

Qualified applicants must have a valid class 5 driver’s license or higher issued in the province of Quebec. Package Delivery Drivers are expected to comply with UPS appearance guidelines. New drivers could cover multiple residential areas, so area knowledge is an asset as well as the ability to read a map.

COMPENSATION

  • Starting hourly rate: $ 17.00/hbonus $ 3 /h
  • Maximum rate: $ 32.99/h (probation + 48 month progression)
  • Paid weekly - every Friday direct deposit into your account

SCHEDULE

  • Start time between 9 AM and Noon, Monday to Friday
  • Approximately 40 to 45 hours a week
  • Working hours are not guaranteed and depend on the volume of days

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (35kg) without assistance and 150 lbs. (68kg) with assistance
  • Ability to read and navigate with map books
  • Minimum 21 years of age (for insurance purposes)
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract respecting the following conditions:
    • a) No at fault accidents within the last 3 years
    • b) No traffic violations within the last 12 months
  • Bilingual

We are currently looking for 3 Business Analysts for one of our clients in the Government of Quebec. Business analysis work aims to analyze and evaluate specific aspects of business solutions in order to show what the solution must produce, also, to ensure that the business needs and expectations of the customer are supported by the solution. 

Activities to carry out: 

  • Participate in the identification, definition, analysis and documentation of the organization's business needs; 
  • Collaborate in updating business architectures, optimize business processes or design new ones, validate them, implement them and ensure follow-up with users and competent authorities; 
  • Ensure that you understand new needs in order to identify the nature of the changes and thus propose appropriate solutions; 
  • Model current business processes and their targets and determine process optimization opportunities; 
  • Participate in the analysis of the business context and the evaluation of the impact of projects on the organization's processes (in terms of risks, impacts and benefits); 
  • Write and present summaries of the solutions and deliverables proposed to designated users, have them approved and ensure overall consistency; 
  • Participate in establishing strategies for change management, training and simplification of communications and forms; 
  • Document acceptance test quotes;

  • Write overall experimentation reports;

REQUIREMENTS

1. Hold an undergraduate university degree (BAC) in the field of information technology, administration, engineering or science. 
2. Have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the field of business administration, engineering, information technology or telecommunications. 
3. Have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a business analyst. 

  • Salary: $35-$45 per hour - to be negotiated (competitive remuneration)

  • 3 year contract, full time

  • Start date: April 2024
