POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Journeyman's certificate as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic/Technician OR a Journeyman’s certificate as an Automotive Mechanic/Technician, OR a registered and active 2nd or 3rd year apprentice in Heavy-Duty Mechanics
  • Ability to carefully monitor gauges, instruments, or processes
  • Ability to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

This position performs HR analytics, and manages a portfolio of HR dashboards. It involves collecting and understanding reporting requirements of HR leadership, and working closely with IS teams, business stakeholders, and other HR teams to design and create impactful reports and analytics using tools like Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, SAP Analytics Cloud, etc. The role requires high attention to detail to maintain integrity of data and associated reports, reviewing output for consistent quality and developing descriptive narratives of analytics findings.

 

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible for regular HR reporting and analytics, including headcount, vacancies, job changes, and turnover, along with managing organization charts and forecasting
  • Audits HRIS system data for accuracy and completeness 
  • Generates reports for HR initiatives such as diversity and new hires, and creates high-quality dashboards for leadership
  • The position ensures documentation compliance with CPKC policies and regulations, and advocates for process efficiencies
