Duties & Responsibilities
- For programming assignments of medium complexity this position is responsible for the development of business solutions that meet business area requirements. This will include program design, programming, unit testing, system testing, acceptance testing, implementation and the preparation of appropriate documentation.
- This position will also provide analysis services for small assignments and projects.
- Contribute to the support of existing business solutions by maintaining (analyzing and correcting problems), developing, testing, and implementing enhancements to them, and by updating system documentation.
- Organizes work assignments and report regularly, to immediate supervisor, the progress and status of all assignments.
- Work with existing application vendors to ensure best practice implementation of packaged solutions and approved SAAS offerings.
- Maintains current knowledge of IT trends, procedures, and standards.
- Support business analysts, report authors, and end-users in the configuration and use of various query and reporting tools and database query applications used to extract accurate data from corporate databases.
- Advise clients and make recommendations on improvements to technology related methods and process.
- Coaches and mentors other staff members.
- Contributes to the effectiveness of other team members and of the Clients through leadership, guidance and training as required.
- Performs duties in adherence to established standards and procedures.

Knowledge & Experience
- Typically, the education and experience are obtained through completion of a university degree in Computer Science or other related discipline, or completion of a two (2) year diploma/certificate in Computer Information Systems, from a recognized post-secondary institution, combined with two (2) to three (3) years of related experience.
- Working knowledge and experience with contemporary system design and development tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of current Information Technology Service Management processes.
- Knowledge of current project management standards and procedures.
- Ability to perform assignments in a variety of computer operating environments.
- Ability to understand and respond to coaching and direction from more senior staff.

- Review internal and external health and safety reports to determine areas that need improvement; implement measures to minimize occurrence of incidents.
What You’ll Bring:
- Grade 12 completion or equivalency
- Completion or enrollment in an accredited Occupational Health and Safety certification program
- Minimum two years experience in the administration of Occupational Health and Safety policies and legislative compliance
- Experience in a health and safety role, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Certification in advanced first aid training or EMR considered an asset

The Role
As a PepsiCo Diesel Mechanic, you will play a critical role in providing the safest, most reliable equipment to our people; enabling them to service our customers and providing our consumers the products they look for and enjoy each and every day. Leveraging our world class PM program, ongoing training and technology investments, and leading predictive diagnostic software, you will be empowered to make decisions and Act as an Owner. Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $38.82/hr
- Eligible for Benefits & Pension programs
- Afternoon Shift Premium: $1.10/hr
- Travel Premium: $1.00/hr on the road
- Meal Allowance: $75/day
- Boot Allowance: $275.00/yr
- Tool Allowance: $345/yr
Responsibilities
In this role you will help us get our famous brands to the people who love them across Canada. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Performing preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned
- Diagnosing vehicle failures and perform mechanical repairs and replacements as required
- Responding to local road calls and/or coordinate service support as necessary
- Maintaining work area appearance and safety
- Performing all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner
- Leveraging predictive diagnostic software to aid in eliminating vehicle breakdowns
- Using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments; as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, jacks and hoists
- Maintaining accurate records of daily activities through asset management system
- Completing all necessary documents, including eHOS and electronic vehicle inspection records
- Other duties and tasks assigned by Fleet Supervisor/Manager
Qualifications
- Journeyman Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certificat
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Working knowledge in use of hand tools is required
- Commercial Vehicle Inspection certificate (MB) is preferred
- Valid Class 1 / AZ Operators License is preferred but not required
- Dedication to safety
- Strong computer and mathematical skillset
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
