The Communications Coordinator is an integral part of the Communications team within the Integrated Infrastructure Services Department, working collaboratively with team members to assist with the development and execution of communication plans and strategies. What will you do?
- Assist in the development and implementation of integrated communications plans involving a range of activities and projects

Qualifications
- Completion of a two-year post-secondary diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related discipline
- Minimum of two years of experience in a designated communications, public relations, public affairs, public information or related position, ideally within a large complex organization
Skills required for success:
- Knowledge of public relations, corporate communications principles, and corporate marketing principles and techniques

- Maintain and operate basic tools and equipment such as pumps, tampers, jackhammers, small rollers and all equipment related to the task
- Perform manual sidewalk cleaning, sweep sand from centre medians, load trucks and complete other general labourer duties as operationally required
- Ensure all work is to be performed in accordance with the Branch's Occupational Health & Safety Program and Enviso - Environmental Management System (ISO 14001)
- Perform other related duties as required
During the winter season (approximately October to April) under the Snow and Ice Control Program in the Northwest District, you will work as a Truck Driver III and be responsible for:
- Operate a tandem or single axle sand/plow while engaged in snow and ice control
- Load and unload materials
- Perform routine maintenance duties, such as cleaning the truck box and worksite, changing blades and performing routine maintenance of vehicles and equipment
- Be aware of obstacles adjacent to the road to avoid damage to Public Property when operating plow
- Inform the lead hand of any on-the-road issues with equipment or observed accident or property damage
- General labour including but not limited to: brushing, manual sidewalk cleaning, sanding, snow shoveling, pothole repairs, manually spread sand on icy areas and other snow and ice-related duties

Qualifications

Job Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
Typical Duties
- Operates a bus in a safe and courteous manner in accordance with Saskatoon Transit rules and regulations either along scheduled routes to local destinations or on chartered services or tours.
- Provides passengers with information about schedules, stops and presents the fare.
- Ensures passengers safety when boarding, riding and leaving buses.
- Reports all operational problems, such as delays and mechanical problems, according to established procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Abilities And Skills
- Thorough knowledge of the geographic layout of the City of Saskatoon.
- Demonstrated ability to deal courteously and tactfully with the public.
- Knowledge of, and empathy with, the transportation needs of persons with disabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Education, Training And Experience Requirements
- Grade 12 education.
- Three years’ experience in public transportation service delivery, including two years customer service experience.
- Possession of a valid Class 2A Learners Licence.
- Current driver’s abstract from SGI demonstrating a safe driving record.
