We are currently hiring a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A based in our Head Office location in Burnaby.
As a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A you'll play a pivotal role in leading a team of analysts in business partnering with operational Directors/Executives across BCAA. Leading these teams, you’ll prepare annual budgets, monthly forecasts, long range plans, special projects and scenario analysis, and presenting conclusions and recommendations to management teams.

What you’ll do:

Leading a team of analysts in monthly forecasting processes (P&L, Cash Flow, Other Operational Metrics), leveraging financial planning software (Workday Adaptive Planning), and business partnering with Directors/Executives in operational areas across BCAA (Insurance, Evo Car Share, Evolve E-Bike Share, and Roadside Assistance).

Analyze monthly data and assist in production of commentary to the Executive team, which includes identifying key risks and opportunities for the business, budget to actual variance commentary, and recommendations on forecasted performance for products and business units.

Supports with board of director and executive reporting.

Review and build capital expenditure project proposals.

Develop and manage analytical tools and processes to improve the quality and transparency of financial results and forecasts.

Knowledge of Power BI and Workday Adaptive Planning to support business area tracking and reporting of operational data and key performance indicators.

Excellent interpersonal skills and strong abilities to work and build relationships with a diverse group, at all levels of the organization.

Present analysis, conclusions, and recommendations via presentations and in written form.
What you bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, or Economics, or equivalent with emphasis on quantitative analysis and methods.

5+ years of experience in financial analysis and reporting in a complex and changing environment.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 software (Excel). Knowledge of Workday Adaptive Planning and Power BI an asset.

The salary range for this position is $91,185.84 to $113,982.36 and is determined viajob-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. Please note that this is a permanent salaried position. This role is a hybrid role based out of our Burnaby, BC office (3 on-site / 2 remote days). Responsibilities
The Lead Commercial Truck Technician is required to perform skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance of tractors, trailers and mobile equipment. The Lead Commercial Truck Technician will have the ability to perform advanced diesel engine diagnostics to identify and resolve issues efficiently and accurately, as well as have the ability to repair and adjust all necessary mechanical components. Work assignments will be received in the form of oral, written or electronic work orders, but the employee is expected to determine the nature and extent of needed repairs. Other duties may be assigned as required.
Major Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diesel engine diagnostics to identify and resolve issues efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure truck fleet maintenance is kept up per the company’s service schedule.
- Liaise with Reliability Manager to increase fleet safety and uptime.
- Provide routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, and mobile equipment such as forklifts and loaders.
- Check all equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
- Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Perform mechanical repairs on equipment in the shop and handle road calls as required.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repairs required.
- Perform incidental welding repairs on equipment.
- Operate automotive servicing equipment, e.g., A/C recycler, etc.
- Communicate with vendors and repair shops to facilitate service and repairs.
- Order parts as needed to complete repairs efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Communicate with warranty departments regarding ongoing and completed repairs.
- Organize and prepare warranty parts for return in compliance with warranty policies.
- Make recommendations for system improvements to the Shop Foreman and Division Manager based on diagnostic findings and repair trends.
- Train other mechanics, including but not limited to diesel engine diagnostics and other advanced repair techniques.
- Participate in ongoing training and certifications as needed to maintain expertise in diesel engines and modern repair technologies.
- Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques.
You Possess
- Journeyman's certificate, Red Seal, or equivalent qualification
- CVIP inspection ticket
- A clean driver’s abstract with no suspensions.
- Proven mechanical abilities in hydraulics and electrical, including schematics and diagnostics.
- Experience with routine maintenance operations.
- Experience with Daimler DiagnosticLink software an asset.
- A positive attitude.
