WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

In this role you will:

• Receives all visitors, including phone calls and responding or forwarding to the appropriate individual 
• Performs daily mailroom duties and deliveries
• Ensures all technology is running at maximum efficiency and reports issues
• Accepts and arranges courier of parcels to ensure timely distribution of packages and documents
• Coordinates meetings rooms and conference calls ensuring action items and deliverables are handled
• Coordinates any internal communication to staff
• Organizes and maintains various filing systems
• Maintains office supplies inventory at proper levels and ensures timely ordering
• Assists with security related activities and key holder responsibilities
• Acts as back-up to the Branch Operations Assistant
• Coordinates any special events as required

What you will do (Responsibilities):

• Initiates and is a key administrative resource for commercial/industrial customer attachment process and acts as a point of contact for our customers.
• Responsible for data entry in Maximo and SAP CIS, new service applications and customer-initiated work, capital requisitions, excess footage, aid-to-construction contracts and general inspection status.
• Handle customer inquiries for information and promote the benefits of natural gas.
• Conduct outgoing calls to new customers to ensure customer satisfaction, provide resolution where possible or direct to the appropriate internal group.
• Complete tasks and assist other departments as assigned by the Manager.

Who you are (Qualifications):

• Minimum high school education required.
• Must have a demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must have demonstrated proficiency in problem solving, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think analytically.
• Must have a working knowledge of computer-based applications such as Maximo, SAP CIS, Economic Model, Map Viewer and Query Tool.
• Required to co-ordinate multiple projects to defined timelines with the ability to balance a number of tasks at one time.
• Strong interpersonal skills, good organizational skills, and attention to detail is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required due to high level of interaction with customers and co-ordination of process with all internal departments.
• Must be, or become, knowledgeable in Commercial/Industrial information requirements and possess a strong working knowledge of the advantages of natural gas, its products and the customer attachment process.

Overview

Job Summary: As a member of the BGIS Sustainable Cleaning Solutions Team, you will be generally responsible for cleaning in a designated zone with an emphasis on quality control, health and safety & striving to exceed client expectations. 

Key Responsibilities: Functioning as a core member of the operational team and reporting to the Manager/ Supervisor as a Cleaner you may be required to perform some of the following tasks as required by the Manager/Supervisor and needs of the client:

• Clean floors by sweeping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Dry/wet mop (wash/scrub) and polish hard surface floors. (The washing/scrubbing of floors is done with handheld or auto scrubbers. In large open applications, automatic equipment may be used to perform these functions) 
• Strip and finish hard surface floors manually or with power equipment when required 
• Dry/wet mop (wash/scrub) and polish hard surface floors including washroom floors. (The washing/scrubbing of floors is done with handheld or walk behind buffing machines. In large open applications, automatic equipment may be used to perform these functions) 
• Transport garbage from drop points to garbage bins or compactor 
• Transport maintenance machinery, where necessary, between floors and job sites 
• Cleans and stores equipment and machinery used
• Cleans glass areas requiring ladders, scaffolding or other extension equipment to reach. 
• Cleans washroom floors including stripping and finishing 
• Cleans stairwells and elevator cabs where ladders are required 
• Loads and unloads supplies and replenishes cleaning solutions
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Other duties that management may assign

• Steam clean or shampoo carpets 
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems

Job Requirements:

• Experience in performing various cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance activities in an institutionalized environment.
• Experience in using floor maintenance machines, cleaning equipment, materials and solutions.
•  Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the provisions that apply to this work including WHMIS.
• Ability to lift, push and pull heavy items as well as climb ladders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, clients and the general public.
• Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays and shifts as assigned as well as work in multiple locations.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, prepare and maintain manual and electronic records.

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

• Must meet security clearance requirements, where applicable
• Must have a valid Class G license (may be required)
