Job Summary
Provide professional planning advice and recommendations to all levels of City staff, levels of government, affected agencies and departments, the public and all other stakeholders, tribunals and courts to guide the growth and development of the City of Mississauga.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze and monitor transit data such has ridership and key performance indicators to understand customer travel patterns and route performance
- Optimize resource utilization by analyzing customer requests and comments, considering the evolution of ridership trends and needs, understanding ridership market and evolving local and inter-system services
- Develop and revise short term and long term service plans in the context of MiWay's goals and the City's overall public transportation strategies
- Identify areas of improvement to increase system wide customer satisfaction through understanding customers' feedback, staff comments and requests through Councillor's and the Mayor's offices
- Use recognized industry standards and in-depth understanding of public transit's role in the context of the City's Strategic Plan
- Represent MiWay on various ad-hoc work groups and/or committees providing technical advice and divisional input based on research and analysis
- Achieve excellence in coordination with other business units within the Section, Division and other City Departments
- Other related duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
- University degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Transportation Engineering, Business or related discipline
- Minimum of 3-5 years progressive experience in a public transit or transportation planning and business planning environment
- Professional Planning, Engineering or Business/Commerce related designation in Ontario is an asset
- Strong mathematical background, preferably with statistical analysis experience including both quantitative and qualitative research
- Ability to draw conclusions and provide recommendations to deal with service performance issues, relying on sound analysis and supporting data
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills to deliver professional reports, presentations, and customer correspondence
- Excellent analytical and decision making skills matched by strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment with changing priorities within established deadlines is required.

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Program Manager, SAP Development Support, or their delegate the successful candidate will:
- Provide SAP Basis administration for all products in the City’s SAP landscape including application patching, monitoring, performance tuning and taking action on SAP Early Watch and other diagnostic and monitoring tools

Skills and Qualifications
- University degree or college diploma in computer science or related discipline with minimum 3-5 years SAP Basis experience in a Microsoft environment.
- Demonstrated experience with administrating, installing, configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading, optimizing and maintaining SAP landscapes involving S4 1809 +, NetWeaver 7.53+, Business Warehouse NetWeaver 7.53+, Business Objects Enterprise 4.3+, Dispatcher/Fiori 7.54+, Solution Manager 7.2+, Process Integration/Orchestration and future SAP platforms is required.
- In-depth knowledge of administrating and inter-dependencies between SAP, Linux and Windows environments is required

Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs to ensure vehicles are safe for our customers
- Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair, including the repair of brakes suspensions, drive trains, transmission clutches, and other repairs accurately.

- Test and adjust units to specifications for proper performance
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
- Work independently with minimum supervision
- Undertake road call diagnosis and repair

Skills and Qualifications
- The successful candidate must hold a valid - Truck and Coach Technician (310T) certificate and maintain it in good standing, demonstrating expertise in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical issues.
- Must have a valid G Driver’s License; D or C Ontario Driver’s License with a “Z” endorsement is preferred with a Driving Abstract acceptable to the city.
- A preferred asset would be a current Ontario Government Certificate of Qualifications Automotive Service Technician (310S) as well.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, afternoons, days, and stat holidays with various off days
Additional Skills
- Experience with electronic multiplexed Heavy Duty diesel engine and automatic transmission vehicles is preferred
- Ability and willingness to stay current with new technologies and equipment to perform bus repairs
- Additional courses in the mechanic’s trade will be an asset
- Familiarity with computerized work orders preferred

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of a Geospatial Solutions Supervisor, the successful candidate will:
- Provide advanced spatial analysis and operational dashboards for the purposes of making calculations and models about space, spatial patterns and spatial relationships using the ESRI suite of products.
- Creation of web map services and map applications using the ESRI suite of tools to visualize clients’ data and improve their understanding of the data.
- Create 3D representations/scenes of buildings and study areas within the city using ArcGIS Pro and the City’s terrain, planimetric and aerial imagery datasets.
- Coordinate, create and maintain all facets of applicable GIS datasets and processes, including geodatabases and associated database tables, the functional guidance of staff and the creation of applicable documentation including work flows, processes and datasets.
- Employ quality assurance and control practices in the creation and maintenance of spatial data to comply with the City’s spatial data standards.
- Develop relationships and understanding of internal clients’ business needs.
- Document standards, processes, and timelines to build an internal knowledge base, creation and maintenance of metadata, and support transparency in how spatial analysis is conducted.
- Prepare/issue status reports for clients and supervisors.
- Maintain and build upon expertise with current releases of the ArcGIS Enterprise platform.
- Be an ambassador for a data-driven culture and participate in team training, communications and GIS-related events.
- Perform other related duties as required, consistent with the classification.
Skills and Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree and a Certificate or Diploma in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or related discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5 years with ArcGIS Pro and the suite of ESRI products.
- Experience in the development of 3D models and advanced spatial analysis is a definite asset.
- Experience in either Planning, Public Works, Transportation, Asset Management, Emergency Management and Community Services is a definite asset
- OLS (Ontario Land Surveyor), or GISP, or PMP accreditation is an asset.
- Understanding and experience working with development site plans, design drawings, digital terrain models, LiDAR and aerial imagery.
- Ability to manage time and balance multiple projects or tasks at once is required.
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot technical and data-related issues is essential.
- Proven ability to learn new GIS skills and continuously develop capabilities.
- Customer Service-focused with good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Attention to detail and consistency in maintaining quality standards is important and must respond to deadlines effectively.
- Ability to provide GIS consultation and advice at a professional level.
