The Technology Services Branch requires three (3) self-motivated individuals to ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and administration of the Edmonton Police Service’s physical and virtual infrastructure. Roles and responsibilities include:
- Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Azure infrastructure administration and troubleshooting
- Administering a complex virtual infrastructure comprised of VMware ESXi server, Citrix Netscaler and Citrix XenApp Server technologies.
- Providing in-depth technical expertise for the operation and maintenance of existing server, storage, and security solutions in order to ensure the integrity and availability of corporate data.
- Management and administration of S3 Object storage for backups and enterprise digital content
- Carrying out daily maintenance and administration of Azure AD, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange server, Blackberry UEM, Storage Area Networks, PKI, and VPN service.

- Receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving complex and varied infrastructure support requests through the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools and by providing personal hands-on desktop level help.
- Monitoring logs and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity and implementing resolutions.
- Managing virus, intrusion, and infrastructure related policy violations.
- Update existing documentation as necessary and create new documents as required.

Qualifications
- Graduation from a recognized Institute of Technology or University program in an appropriate specialty specifically related to Infrastructure administration and analysis and a minimum of four (4) year’s progressively responsible experience in Infrastructure administration and maintenance.
- OR Post Secondary Diploma in a related discipline and a minimum of five (5) year’s progressively responsible experience in Infrastructure administration and maintenance.
- OR one (1) year related certificate in a relevant computer certificate programs generally have a minimum of 700+ instructional hours and will include relevant course work to the position. Completion of the twelfth (12th) school grade or GED is required. Pluse, seven (7) year’s progressively responsible experience in Infrastructure administration and maintenance.
- Experience with supported Windows server operating systems, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Exchange 2016 and Blackberry UEM, VMware ESXi server 6.x/7.x, XenApp 7.x, enterprise backup solutions, Storage Area Networks, and enterprise grade server hardware.
- Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell.
- Experience with MFA, SSO and identity management standards like SAML and OAuth.
- Familiarity with profile management solutions such as FSLogix.
- Working knowledge of SolarWinds for monitoring, reporting and alerting.
- Microsoft 365 or Azure certifcations would be considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of an enterprise Public Key Infrastructure would be considered an asset.
- Able to rapidly aquire in-depth knowledge of unfamiliar systems through research and self learning.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, teamwork, problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Highly self-motivated with the proven ability to work independently to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a mission critical high-pressure environment.

Qualifications

Qualifications
- Completion of Grade 10

- Prepare and execute quarterly business plans to aid in the meeting of individual, regional and corporate targets.
- Participate and/or conduct financial planning seminars and other Early Career hosted events throughout the region to enlighten clients through financial literacy and MD Management overall offerings. Partner with MD marketing and management concerning potential new products and services.

The Must Haves:
- University degree in business, commerce or equivalent degree related to the practice of financial planning
- IIROC licensed as a Registered Representative (IIROC-RR) including completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) and 90-day training or willingness to complete such within a specified timeframe.
- Life License (LLQP) and a willingness to complete other regulatory requirements. Completion of the Group Annuity Sector (PQPAV) (Quebec offices only).
