What is the opportunity?

 

As Cloud Data Engineer in Investor & Treasury Services Data Engineering team within Data Management office, you will design, implement and support Cloud based Data Engineering solution and processes within Investor and Treasury Services across global organization in line with Corporate vision. We are looking for strategic thinker, and passionate data management enthusiast to drive and support leadership team on executing data strategy.

 

As a member of a dynamic, fast paced team, this role brings strong data architecture and data engineering skills and leadership, effective written and verbal communication skills, a strong work ethic and a demonstrated capability to multi-task effectively.  This role requires strong interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills as well as a demonstrated sense of urgency to respond to changing priorities at times.  This is complemented by a positive attitude and a willingness to take accountability for results achieved.

 

What will you do?

 

This role will encompass working with Enterprise Cloud team to implement I&TS target state Architecture.

  • Integrate data with Cloud based platforms, publish data through APIs and Portal.

  • Work with Enterprise Cloud team to enable Cloud components using Jenkin and/or terraform pipelines.

  • Set-up and run Proof-of-concept / prototype to test different use cases.

  • Evaluate current state of data access control in regards to authentication, authorization and encryption practices across I&TS systems and implement the same in target state architecture.

  • Work in an agile team of Data Engineers, Developers and RBC business stakeholders. 

 

What do you need to succeed?
Must Have

  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering with at least 3 years of hands on experience in system integration, data and cloud architecture(Azure), and technologies.

  • Creating software for retrieving, parsing and processing structured and unstructured data.

  • Defining and building scalable ETL/ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.

  • Supporting project team to scale, monitor and operate data platforms for very high availability and performance.

  • Developing scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats.

  • Experience on Azure Databricks and Airflow is required

 

Nice to Have

  • Automation/DevOps: Jenkins, Terraform & Nexus

  • Agile methodology

  • Azure Cloud Data Engineering Certification

  • Master’s degree in Computer science or equivalent experience

  • Libraries: AG Grid, NumPy, Pandas is an asset

  • Effective written & verbal communication skills to bridge between technical content and business objectives.
  • Experience working on agile development teams.

  • Work with vendors and the Procurement team to test and qualify packaging designs to expand the Packaging supply chain to enable top-line box growth.
  • Coordinate testing with an external lab and our HF US lab while building our own local testing lab capacity here in Canada.
  • Manage the planning and execution of packaging testing out of the Packaging Laboratory once it’s up and running ( requiring 2 days a week working from the lab in Mississauga, ON)
  • Responsible for packaging lab upkeep and equipment calibration and maintenance
  • Oversee thermodynamic testing to validate and qualify cold chain packaging systems
  • Test packaging components and modify as necessary to meet functional parameters, cost targets, fulfillment, and shipping requirements
  • Complete and communicate test reports to Packaging Procurement team, as well as cross functionally.
  • Help provide packaging solutions to HelloFresh’s innovative launch of new products, services offerings, and expansion into new categories and markets.
  • Conduct technical and scientific tests to gain further insights into packaging strategies, packaging material(s) comparison, and various other ad-hoc packaging research & development projects.
  • Redevelop and maintain our ice matrix and upsizing logic
  • Work with vendors to obtain packaging material specifications and manage internal specification process of documentation

  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in packaging engineering/science.

This role will be located at HQ in Toronto and will need to travel between Distribution Centers and Hubs all over Canada.

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for hiring, training, development, training, performance review, and calibration of direct and indirect reports at HelloFresh DCs across the country.
  • Implementation of new and updated processes at the DCs and distribution hubs including communication of changes and timelines to DC management, pre-launch training, monitoring the effectiveness of roll-outs, providing feedback on potential areas for improvement, etc.
  • Responsible for DCs in preparing for and leading internal & third party audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and RCAs are conducted for all non-conformances in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for food safety complaint follow-ups and escalations, maintenance and improvement of FS and Quality KPIs, implementation of HACCP and Food Safety Programs, and box transit test program across all DCs.
  • Owner of ingredient quality improvement projects for DC operations while working in close collaboration with the Quality and Technical team.
  • Support food safety risk assessments and root cause analysis on ad-hoc issues identified at the DCs as well as cross-department projects related to product improvement.
  • Support business strategies and expansion/improvement projects by working in close collaboration with a solution-oriented approach with cross functional teams.
  • Continually strive to meet and improve HelloFresh’s protocol for achieving the highest level of quality and food safety.
  • Lead and support local, national, and North American strategic FSQA initiatives, driving continuous improvement initiatives at all levels.
  • Other duties as assigned.

At a minimum, you have: 

  • Post-secondary education in Biological or Food Sciences, or equivalent work experience (at least 7 years) in a similar role within food manufacturing, assembly, or distribution
  • Strong knowledge of federal and local government regulations with a strong familiarity of the SFCA/R.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety systems and HACCP principles and experience implementing and maintaining HACCP plans
  • Experience in managing teams,  implementing and standardizing programs across multiple sites.
  • Background in food microbiology is a major asset
  • Internal and external audit experience (CFIA, GFSI standard (BRC/SQF)
  • Proven project management experience including demonstrated change management competency
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

We are hiring developers for the Supply Chain Management team in North America. The vision for SCM tech is to build the world’s leading, scalable, fully integrated, food supply chain management platform. Lettuce share what this role will be responsible for

  • Work on a team building features with other engineers, product owners, and designers
  • Participate in the design, development, deployment and operations of the microservices we develop, using best practices, and pair/mob programming
  • Collaborate with other engineers, technical program managers, product leads, team leads, vice presidents, and other stakeholders
  • Have used state-of-the-art technologies like Kotlin, Kafka, GoLang, Kubernetes, Airflow, Docker and more

Quality Engineering Lead Full-time Job

The Quality Engineering Lead reports to the Senior Manager, Quality Engineering, and is responsible for delivering QE tasks ensuring all aspects of testing (automation, manual, services, accessibility, etc.) are meeting quality while complying with Tangerine Delivery framework and process.  The Senior Quality Engineer is also responsible for maintaining the code for the Tangerine regression suite as well as executing it for each and every build prior to a production release

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

 

  • Day-to-day coordination of QE squad, including overseeing and carrying out following type of testing:  Functional Testing (including automation), Integration Testing, Regression Testing, Accessibility Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Production Acceptance Testing and other types of testing as required.

  • Delivering the automation results for the dedicated channel, based on the strategic directives set forth by leadership team

  • Coach and provide mentorships to testing team members in various areas including business domain, functional testing, automation and non-functional testing while ensuring the test teams are compliant with Tangerine test methodologies and industry best practices.

  • Recommending and implementing various process or framework enhancements by collaborating with QE community with in the bank.

  • Manage and lead testing activities for multiple large scale enterprise wide programs/projects for Tangerine that are executed in Agile methodology

  • Assess the risks associated with the development aspects of each solution/project and define approach for manual versus automation testing and institute change within the team

  • Risk Management – document testing risks and provide mitigation and contingency plans from testing standpoint.

  • Collect strategic, technical and operational test metrics.  Analyze current defects and test execution trends and extrapolate data for predictive analysis

  • Work with people of varied level within QE and/or outside of QE Team including Business/Product, Engineering, PMO, Release Management, Design, etc. to meet key objectives and advocate for quality

  • Responsible for team’s adherence to governance and processes, timely management of any issue or escalation and facilitates overall escalation processes

  • Manage and review documentation and creating of testing artifacts (e.g., test strategies, plans, estimates, test cases, metrics/dashboard, defects log/report, sign-offs) to ensure artifacts adhere to prescribed standards and audit requirements

 

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

 

  • University or College Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science/Engineering

  • 8+ years of solid experience working within SDLC/TDLC

  • 8+ years of solid testing experience within the capacity of Software Quality Engineering

  • Proficient testing background in the Canadian financial services industry

  • Experience with Mobile and Web technologies

  • Competent in/working knowledge with various tools including Defect Management Tools, Requirement Management Tools, Test Management and Planning Tools, Web Content Management tools and concepts, Banking systems and their integration

  • Must have hands on experience with Test Automation using Selenium Webdriver IO or similar, and ability to contribute to automation framework enhancements.

  • Extensive knowledge of Java script, Type script etc.

  • Proficient with API REST/SOAP testing and experience using related tools like Rest Assured etc.

  • Experience with CI/CD and related tools and techniques; Jenkins/Dockers/Kubernetes

  • Through understanding of agile process.

  • Demonstrated ability in coordinating an onsite, offshore resource model

  • In-depth understanding of Accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.0 / 2.1 – A/AA/AAA)

  • Expertise in utilizing accessibility tools across web and mobile such as ANDI, AXE,  Voice Over/TalkBack, NVDA

  • Strong experience in Database Testing - analyzing data received from different data sources including RDBMS, My SQL and other databases

  • Change management process awareness.

  • Professional Certification CTFL, ISTQB,CSQA,CSTE nice to have

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of the larger team

  • Ability to lead through influence in a fast-paced environment and hold others accountable when applicable

  • Ability to work and collaborate with stakeholders from different departments and organizational levels.
