You Are Best Suited for The Role If You Have the Following Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years minimum of experience in audit; internal audit and financial compliance experience is a plus.

  • Provide clear, concise information to others via verbal or written communication in both English and French, Spanish is a plus.

  • Understands Internal Audit’s purpose and role within the organization.

  • Must understand generally accepted auditing standards, common audit procedures and techniques and risk management frameworks; general knowledge of other relevant business domain/ industry standards a plus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Monitors physical security operations at the client Datacenter. 
  2. Monitors cameras and access control systems covering data calls and entry/exit doors. 
  3. Dispatches appropriate personnel, as necessary. 
  4. Maintains logs and records in accordance with the Datacenter Standard Operations Procedure (SOP). 
  5. Identifies and escalates issues in accordance with documented policies and procedures. 
  6. Reviews all reports written during shift. 
  7. Ensures all scheduled posts are filled. 
  8. Briefs oncoming Supervisor/Team about incidents during shift or in progress.
  9. Maintains documentation and follows standardized procedures to successfully complete unannounced audits. 
  10. Collects complete information for detailed report and appropriate follow-up. Prepares well written reports and maintains strict distribution to “need to know” parties. 
  11. Cross-training will be provided for all site-based roles, enabling you to step in for other position coverage and offer relief breaks to guards, when required by operational needs.
  12. Prepares written and electronic logs and reports as required for the site while entering information in appropriate computer systems. 
  13. Read and comprehends standard operations procedures, post orders, reports, and other printed materials. 
  14. Performs additional tasks assigned by management. 
  15. Conduct training with the staff on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  16. Conduct drills, and Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QAQC) review
  17. Conducts foot patrols (for long periods of time or up to 12 miles of distance. It may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain) completing patrol checklists.

JOB SUMMARY: As part of Securitas Mobile operation provides guard services to project a security presence, which may include operating a vehicle to perform patrol, inspection, and/or incident response services. 

 
Distinguishing Characteristics: Duties consist primarily of Security Guard duties within an Mobile operation. May be assigned a service grade or rank in a chain of command in conformance with contract requirements or to facilitate the delivery of service, according to business necessity.  
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• All functions, duties or tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical and professional manner, and to be performed in conformance with applicable company policies and procedures. 1. Provides mobile guarding services to project a security presence, which may include operating a vehicle to perform patrol, inspection, and/or incident response services; maintains radio or other communications contact with office or base to report status or incidents, or to request additional assistance or response. 
2. Checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, and unauthorized persons; inspects buildings, grounds and security devices; monitors and sets security devices. 
3. Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage, and provides direction or information to others. 
4. Prepares logs or reports as required for patrol route; writes and/or types reports and/or enters information in a computer using standard grammar; inspects security control logs and takes action as required. 
5. Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to client representatives, company management, life/safety personnel or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required. 
6. Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents or conditions following procedures established for assignment, by the company, or through training or certification. 
7. Carries out specific tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required. 

 
 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position. 

 
MINIMUM HIRING STANDARDS 
• Must be at least 18 years of age. 
• Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., pager or phone). 
• Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private). 
• Must have the legal right to work in the Canada. 
• Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English and French in the province of Quebec. 
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED. If not, must be willing to complete the GED program within six months. 
• Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including background investigation.  
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or G.E.D.; related experience preferred. 

 
Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing)
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable licensing requirements for Security Guards. 
• Driving record must meet company and/or insurance standards. 
• Knowledge of or ability to learn security operations and procedures.

• Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances. 
• Courteous telephone manner. 
• Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organization.

• Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures.

  1. Tracks and assist with security license applications on a daily basis; coordinates licensing activity with supervisors and issues guard cards upon receipt; advises appropriate management staff of any irregularities encountered in an individual’s licensing procedure. 
  2. Assists with the recruitment, screening, interviewing, hiring and orientation of new employees; prepares necessary paperwork for personnel files. 
  3. Coordinates the application process and maintenance of applicant logs with administrative staff.
  4. Processes corporate affirmative action reports and other personnel reports; tracks percentages and advises appropriate management staff of any adverse impact or potential adverse impact in hiring, transfers, promotions, or terminations. 
  5. Assists with maintaining Guard training records. 
  6. Assists with payroll and benefits administration; reconciles related records. 
  7. Records associate information, such as: personal and tax data; compensation and benefits data; attendance; performance reviews or evaluations; and, termination date and reason. 
  8. Updates and maintains confidential personnel files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses. 
  9. Examines personnel files to answer inquiries; provides information to authorized persons. 
  10. Compiles data from personnel records and prepares reports using computer. 
  11. Performs tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for assigned office.
