As a Dock Supervisor you will be responsible for the supervision of overall dock operations, including day-to-day processes and procedures, to ensure safety and optimal dock performance. 

 

How You’ll Help: 

  • Provide daily guidance and motivation to Dock Workers (employees and agency workers) to ensure achievement of operational objectives for the terminal. 
  • Escalates issues of individual poor performance, inappropriate behavior, absenteeism, etc. to the Operations Manager.

  • Supervise a group of Dock Workers, both employee and contractor/agency, directly and indirectly through Lead Hands. 
  • Other duties related to dock operations as may be required. 

 

Your Skills and Experience: 

  • Post-secondary education, preferably in operations, logistics, or business 
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered 
  • Minimum of five years' experience in the transportation industry or warehousing industry, preferably dock operations 
  • Previous leadership experience and/or experience in the transportation industry are strong assets 
  • Strong leadership skills specifically the ability to motivate and drive engagement to achieve objectives, facilitate conflict resolution, and to provide training 
  • Advanced communication skills, particularly verbal 
  • Computer skills, including the use of MS Word, Excel & Outlook, and web-based programs as well as RF scanners.  Experience using AS400, a strong asset 
  • Strong interpersonal skills including customer focus

  • Appropriate sense of urgency

As a Route Sales Representative at Frito Lay Canada, there are two main accountabilities: (1) selling and developing the business and (2) servicing customers through delivery and merchandising. A resource is required to report to the Infrastructure Section Manager and work with Senior Project Managers, Team Leads and Managers with the development, implementation and operation of effective project management administrative standards, policies and procedures. The IT Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing major initiatives that will require significant interaction with senior ranks within the Technology Services Branch. The Technology Services Project Coordinator will provide project assistance to the project teams in the fulfillment of the day-to-day project management and coordination responsibilities. The candidate will be highly skilled with a solid understanding of project management and coordination. The candidate will find themselves spending time on multiple projects and will have a track record of delivering projects on time, within budget while meeting or exceeding client expectations.  The Technology Service Project coordinator will be responsible for:  

  • Complying with standards and governance established through the IT Project & Delivery Branch 
  • Ensuring the successful implementation of solutions which are public facing
  • Managing assigned projects having multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Creating and managing :
    • Project charters
    • Project standards controls
