Maple Leaf Foods is looking for an experienced DZ driver with both automatic and standard transmission experience. The delivery driver is responsible for ensuring a timely and safe delivery of product to customer locations while providing professional service in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Include:

  • Safe transportation of product to customer locations

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have valid DZ license or equivalent with clean driver’s abstract
  • Must have 3-5 years driving experience with a D license or equivalent
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
  • Must understand and follow all Animal Welfare/HACCP/Biosecurity procedures (Training will be provided)
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours, including some Wednesdays (e.g. early starts and/or late end times)
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to complete work without supervision
  • Able to work in extreme weather hot or cold
  • Must be in good physical condition – able to lift up to 50 lb. overhead repetitively
  • Delivery experience an asset

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Trouble shooting/repairs/installations of processing equipment with a working knowledge of electrical to allow efficient repair/replacement results
  • Program and troubleshoot variable frequency drives (VFDs)
  • Read and understand electrical power and control system wiring and schematics
  • Repair/maintain/trouble shoot motor controls, temperature sensors and safety sensors
