Schedule: Various - must be available for days, nights, and weekends.

Salary: $26.55/hr

There are 2 salary increases in the first year of employment, with a target rate of $29.50/hour.

How you will make contributions that matter:

• Ensures quality and sanitation standards are met by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Quality Assurance, and HACCP
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures to ensure the highest quality product possible
• Ensures the efficient and effective use of equipment and material resources
• Communicates with the Leadhand/Back up Lead hand and Packaging Supervisor to monitor and maximize operational efficiencies
• Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually or using powered equipment
• Report urgent equipment problems in a timely manner
• Ensures that safe conditions exist always within the work environment; adhere to safe work procedures (rotations, hazard reporting)
• Flexibility to work shifts outside the normal shift when require
• Supports and maintains Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P.’s quality standards;
• Other duties as assigned

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

• Secondary School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
• Experience in food manufacturing or packaging, preferably dairy manufacturing
• Strong mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting abilities
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment quickly and easily
• Ability to function independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated strong documentation and record keeping
• Must be self-motivated, results oriented, possess high degree of initiative and work well under pressure

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property, its assets, and personnel.
• Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
• Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process.
• Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
• Satisfies client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to the client's property and assets.
• Monitors intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring software.
• Uses computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete basic trainings.
• Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Valid provincial Security Guard License 
• Working knowledge of security operations and procedures
• Reliable means of transportation
• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports
• Basic computer skills such as the ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Able to walk, stand, and conduct patrols
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
• First Aid/ CPR is considered an asset

Overview of the Role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the reactive, preventative and predictive maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing and packaging equipment.

Schedule: Nights

Hourly Rate: $42.98

You are the ideal candidate if you have the following traits:

•     Excellent trouble shooting skills able to work collaboratively with all departments

•     Highly motivated initiator, able to work independently with minimum supervision

•     Effective communication skills, able to complete computer-based workorders

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

•     Millwright with a journeyperson ticket/license or certificate of qualification

•     Dual Ticketed in either Welding/HVAC/Plumbing or Power engineer would be advantageous

•     Excited and willing to work night shift (7pm - 7am) including the availability for weekends

•     Proven hands-on experience within food industry or high-speed packaging plant (preferred)

Any of the following would be considered an asset:

• Sanitary Stainless steel welding license an asset

• Electrical and PLC troubleshooting experience

• 4th class power engineering certification or Steam Boiler experience

• Refrigeration and air handling systems experience

Six Pints Collective  is currently seeking a Boutique Clerk to join the Trou du Diable team in Shawinigan. Reporting to the Brand Home Manager, we are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, organized attitude, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities  : 

• Represent the brewery and its products in an energetic and professional manner.
• Assist with sales and store visits.
• Stock the merchandise shelves and beer fridge several times a day.
• Provide competent and friendly service to all customers.
• Answer phones and perform basic administrative tasks.
• Cash handling/point of sale system and cash register maintenance.
• Provide beer samples and assist with customer education.

Other qualifications  :  

• Must be 18 years of age or older. 

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required. 

• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and health and safety requirements.

• Must possess excellent public relations skills and be friendly and cooperative in nature.

We are looking for a  motivated Class 1 Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate  to join our distribution team in Chicoutimi. In this role, you will work closely with a Delivery Assistant to ensure the delivery of our products (beer and other beverages) to our commercial customers. You will be a key member of our team, contributing to delivery management, warehousing, and order preparation (as needed).   

Your responsibilities :  
  

• Ensure product delivery  : Deliver beer to retailers using specialized equipment. Handle crates of beer by hand, on pallets, or using a forklift, in accordance with customer orders.   

• Unload and organize products  : Unload crates and barrels of beer from the truck, and place the products in designated areas within businesses (grocery stores, convenience stores, bars, restaurants), respecting established standards.   

• Manage inventory and stock rotation  : Ensure proper product rotation to guarantee freshness and optimize stock management.   

• Invoice orders  : Carry out invoicing of orders using suitable IT tools.   

• Support the warehouse team  : Provide assistance to the warehouse team as needed.   

• Driving a Forklift  : Use a forklift to move and retrieve pallets of beer, as well as prepare customer orders according to company requirements.    

Other qualifications :  

• You have a class 1 driving license and a good driving record.  

• You are of legal drinking age in Quebec (18 years and older).  

• You are in excellent physical condition and able to carry loads of up to 100 lbs, repeatedly.
