Responsibilities

As a professional driver working for Arrow Transportation Systems Inc based at the Ashcroft Mining Branch you will have the opportunity to haul B train trailers and operate various equipment from tandem to tri drive trucks. We primarily haul copper ore from Mount Polley mine, we also haul road salt and soils. We offer home every night, as well as home at the end of every week options.   • Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation, application of safe practices, compliance with applicable Acts and Regulations.
  • Perform pre and post and en route trip inspections on equipment operated, ensuring safety, roadworthiness and regulatory compliance.
  • Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, load securement, driver's hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, and weights and dimensions.
  • Record, Maintain and Check all relevant paperwork (i.e. bill of lading,) and documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
  • Operate equipment such as truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.
  • Complete electronic logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status.
  • Ensure that all customers, co-workers and the public are dealt with professionally and with respect.
  • Ensure trailers are cleaned out before proceeding to next load site, while avoiding cross contamination of products.

 

You Possess

Responsibilities

Reporting to and working closely with the Division Manager, the Senior Administrator’s principal role is to update, create, review, audit, analyze and optimize all financial processes, documentation and reporting of revenue and payable streams for the Division.  The Senior Administrator also ensures all information is reported accurately and appropriately in Arrow and Customer Systems as it relates to all activities in the Division.  This role ensures processes are followed and items completed in Arrow’s various software applications on an ongoing basis and as per accounting cycle deadlines.

 

Major Responsibilities

  • Ensure all information pertaining to Revenue is accurately created in appropriate software, is regularly updated and reviewed for accuracy and is regularly audited and reconciled.
  • Ensure all information pertaining to Payables are audited and reflect accurately.
  • Perform comprehensive reconciliations of accounts including insurance claims, pension, health & welfare, lease operator advancements and holdbacks, Union dues and Arrow Star maintenance.
  • In conjunction with the Division Manager, ensure that documented incident claims are entered in appropriate software and managed.
  • Code, total, batch, enter, verify, and reconcile transactions such as accounts payable, receivable, payroll, purchase orders, invoices, and petty cash transactions in the appropriate computer systems.
  • Calculate, prepare and issue documents related to accounts such as bills, invoices, inventory reports, account statements, lease operator statements and other financial statements using computerized and manual systems.
  • Prepare analysis and/or reports as required by division, internal and/or external customers.
  • Ensure all HR/Hiring and related paperwork is completed and filed appropriately whether internally or with 3rd parties (i.e. required Teamsters paperwork where applicable).
  • Ensure all files are organized and maintained and all office processes are streamlined for most efficient and effective operation.
  • Order office supplies, service office equipment and arrange for servicing in the case of major repairs.
  • Provide internal and external Customer Service excellence
  • Perform clerical duties such as word processing, maintaining filing and record systems, emailing and photocopying.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Respond to telephone, in person or electronic enquiries or forward to appropriate person.
  • Provide general information to clients and the public.

You Possess

  • Understanding of and 5 – 8 years experience with the accounting cycle i.e., Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Month End and Year End processes.
  • Relevant post-secondary courses, diploma, degree or experience required.

You Possess

  • Experience or training in traffic control procedures.

  • Certification in Traffic Control or similar qualifications.

Responsibilities

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for providing a diverse range of Human Resources support to all members of Arrow Transportation Systems Inc. and subsidiary companiesThey will be involved in the development of policy, procedures, recruitment initiatives, retention initiatives, training and other areas as needed.  Other duties involve maintaining accurate, up-to-date HR management systems, personnel records, metrics reports, and providing advisory services.

 

Major Responsibilities 

  • Establish recruitment requirements and objectives by meeting with managers to discuss needs. 
  • Responsible for the recruitment and selection process of various roles by placing ads, searching through resumes, filtering through the Avanti database, attending career/trades fairs, conducting interviews, conducting reference checks, conducting associated testing and other tasks necessary in the recruitment and selection process. 
  • Assess existing standard operating procedures, systems and tools, identify opportunities for improvement, implement improvements and report results. 
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed. 
  • Maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures, pay plans, employee benefits, employment laws, and communicate regularly with employees and management to ensure understanding and compliance. 
  • Conduct competitive market research to establish best pay practices. 
  • Ensure the information in the Avanti system is maintainedaccurate and reflects protocols as set up by HR.   
  • Update, organize, and maintain all HR systems as required i.e. shared docs, Arrownet, our Learning Management SystemPerformance Management, etc..  
  • Responsible for the coordination and implementation of various retention programs. 
  • Respond to internal and external Human Resources related inquiries from Division Managers, business partners, and other parties.
  • Contribute to the development, distribution and implementation of HR policies, procedures and memorandums to the appropriate individuals, divisions, or departments across the organization.
  • Conduct regular research and compliance initiatives regarding Human Resources issues to keep management informed of new developments.
  • Help to ensure organization wide compliance with policies, procedures and applicable regulations. 
  • Establish and administer an in-house employee training system that addresses company recurring training needs including training program assessment, new employee orientation or onboarding, management development, production cross-training, and the measurement of training impact.
  • Investigate employee relations issues while maintaining confidentiality and consistency. 
  • Contribute to organizational research and succession planning.  
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned. 

You Possess

  • 5+ Years relevant Human Resources or related experience.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ability to quickly learn new computer applications i.e. Arrow custom applications, O365, etc. 
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources or related field an asset. 
  • Requires advanced communication (verbal and written), facilitation, negotiation, and public relations skills to build effective relationships within Arrow and with external clients.  
  • Requires the ability to problem solve beyond conventional methods, champion and manage change, and gain the cooperation of others.  
  • Excellent time management and demonstrated ability to establish priorities and to plan. 
  • Strong action management skills including ability to manage projects in the most cost-efficient manner. 
  • Strong ability to prioritize based on business needs and risk mitigation. 
  • Strong safety mindset, and demonstrates a sense of responsibility, accountability, and commitment to the organization. 
  • Ethical and quality-focused professional with a strong work ethic, a positive team attitude, and proven experience managing confidential information with discretion.
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
