Job Responsibilities:

 

The HR Systems Analyst will support and maintain HR Systems within the Group - HRIS (Workday). This role supports divisional teams to ensure effective data quality & auditing, training and knowledge transfer on key concepts, and the effective troubleshooting of issues that arise in the system and any downstream integration impacts to payroll/time systems.

  • Support the effective data management and system administration requirements for Workday systems.

  • Troubleshoot user issues through Matrix42 ticketing system and elevate to Magna Corporate Systems team, as needed to resolve issues.
  • Assist with auditing system data and notifying responsible persons of discrepancies and/or errors to improve data integrity.
  • Acts as the liaison between Magna Exteriors Group HR teams and Magna Corporate Systems Administrators to ensure ongoing continuous improvement of system effectiveness and the timely resolution of problems.
  • Prepare reports and system analytics as necessary to support HR Programs. 
  • Assist with system and integrations testing as needed when new configuration is to be implemented.
  • Assist with ongoing communication to end users regarding system updates/releases, as well as new functionality.
  • Administer user access and security roles.
  • Liaise with external vendors to escalate system issues.
  • Assists with coordination and delivery of end user training as necessary to support the effective application of HR systems at division level.
  • Support division in preparation and loading of Enterprise Interface Builder (EIBs).
  • Creates ad hoc custom reports, as required.
  • Support future Group Workday implementations, as required.
  • Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations, promoting safety in the workplace
  • Report all accidents/incidents and unsafe conditions/behavior
  • Conduct business in an ethical manner in compliance with the Magna Code of Conduct
  • Participate in and support Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Take on any special projects as assigned by management
  • Perform other duties as required

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

  • Minimum completion of Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in a related field of study i.e. Human Resources,  Information Systems, Business, etc.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with Social Media platforms and/or Internet/Intranet (web-based) applications.
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing environment or Magna Operating Division is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with HR systems (Workday) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience implementing business processes, projects, software strongly preferred.

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with objectivity and discretion, high personal standard of integrity

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform all duties and promote themselves in a manner that reflects Formet Expectations, Formet’s Visions/Values through Magna’s Employee Charter.
  • Follow and abide by all government, Legal, Magna and Formet rules and regulations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
  • Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
  • Evaluate and improve our processes for uptime and repeatability.
  • Evaluate downtime situations for root cause and identify potential risks to similar process.
  • Complete preventative maintenance on equipment and keep maintenance records to identify weakness in design.
  • Assist in developing and/or updating preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Monitor and participate in ensuring all Key Performance Indicators (Safety, Quality and Productivity) are being achieved.
  • Communicate information throughout shift and at shift exchange.
  • Co-ordinate activities of apprentices, helpers and assigned contractors.
  • Support cross-functional repairs to equipment that includes Electrical, Mechanical, and Tooling provided it could be done safely.
  • Troubleshoot safety devices.
  • Troubleshoot equipment using software with encoder feedback.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices.
  • Program and troubleshoot Fanuc Robots and Lincoln Power Sources, and understand the grounding circuit of a Robotic weld cell.
  • Understand various communication networks.
  • Participate in new electrical and mechanical designs and ensure equipment build standards meet Formet’s Build Specifications.
  • Electricians need to understand new electrical standards involving Pre Health and Safety reviews, safe distance calculations, Safety Plc’s, and new robot standards. 
  • Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Operate lifting devices (overhead bridge cranes, fork/combi-lifts, and man-lifts such as scissor lifts and genie-booms) as required.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Monitors physical security operations at the client Datacenter. 
  2. Monitors cameras and access control systems covering data calls and entry/exit doors. 
  3. Dispatches appropriate personnel, as necessary. 
  4. Maintains logs and records in accordance with the Datacenter Standard Operations Procedure (SOP). 
  5. Identifies and escalates issues in accordance with documented policies and procedures. 
  6. Reviews all reports written during shift. 
  7. Ensures all scheduled posts are filled. 
  8. Briefs oncoming Supervisor/Team about incidents during shift or in progress.
  9. Maintains documentation and follows standardized procedures to successfully complete unannounced audits. 
  10. Collects complete information for detailed report and appropriate follow-up. Prepares well written reports and maintains strict distribution to “need to know” parties. 
  11. Cross-training will be provided for all site-based roles, enabling you to step in for other position coverage and offer relief breaks to guards, when required by operational needs.
  12. Prepares written and electronic logs and reports as required for the site while entering information in appropriate computer systems. 
  13. Read and comprehends standard operations procedures, post orders, reports, and other printed materials. 
  14. Performs additional tasks assigned by management. 
  15. Conduct training with the staff on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  16. Conduct drills, and Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QAQC) review
  17. Conducts foot patrols (for long periods of time or up to 12 miles of distance. It may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain) completing patrol checklists.
  18. Assist STM with regards to scheduling, covering any open shifts.
