What you will do:

• As the first point of contact you will be required to offer prompt product knowledge and information to customers in a professional manner
• Respond to customers in a timely manner in person, by phone or email
• Prepare small order quotations on urgent contracting jobs
• Pick customer orders from warehouse
• Perform necessary product research in catalogues and online
• Verify all items are available for the customer as ordered and scheduled
• Responsible for building positive relationships with customers and associates
• Take initiative to maintain stock of the counter area as needed
• Offer help and assistance in the warehouse if required

What you will bring:

• Previous technical experience in sales or customer service in wholesale or distribution required
• Local market knowledge with HVAC and Plumbing will be an asset
• General computer skills including Microsoft Office required. Experience with AS400 an asset.
• Must have exceptional customer service and professional communication skills

What you will do 

• Load and unload products in a timely manner to meet delivery deadlines and customer commitments.
• Receive incoming shipments and verify their accuracy.
• Promptly place products in appropriate areas of the warehouse.
• Prepare, pack and ship customer orders, including preparing documents for shipping.
• Liaise with transportation companies and internal/external customers to determine shipping priorities.
• Ensure safety and maintenance procedures are maintained in the shipping area.

What you will bring

• Previous warehouse experience required
• Knowledge of industry products (plumbing and HVAC/R), an asset
• Basic general computer skills required, including Microsoft Office
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Reliability and willingness to take initiatives
• Ability to regularly lift a load of up to fifty pounds (50 lb/23 kg)
• Forklift operating certification or ability to obtain certification
• WHMIS and dangerous goods transportation certification, an asset

What you will do:

• Put away product to correct areas in the warehouse in a timely manner
• Picking, packaging and shipment of customer orders, including preparing documentation for shipment
• Liaising with freight companies and inside/outside customers to determine shipping priorities
• Ensuring good housekeeping and safety procedures are maintained in shipping area

• Previous warehouse experience required

• General basic computer skills including Microsoft Office is required

• Must be dependable and reliable and willing to take initiative
• Able to regularly lift (up to 50lbs pounds)
• Forklift certified or ability to be certified

POSITION SUMMARY
The Feed Truck Driver is responsible for the efficient delivery of feed products while providing courteous, quality-conscious customer service as set out by Maple Leaf Agri-Farms company guidelines.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides quality customer service
• Delivers loads of feed as assigned by dispatcher
• Performs daily pre-trip, and weekly truck/trailer inspections
• Reports and discusses truck/trailer maintenance concerns with supervisor
• Maintains log book as required
• Keeps tractor/trailer unit clean and well organized, both inside and out, notwithstanding inclement weather conditions and the demand for on-time feed delivery
• Performs all paperwork according to business requirements
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures ranging from +40 to -40 degrees Celsius

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Class 1A Driver’s License with favorable Driver’s Abstract
• 3-5 years of experience driving truck/trailer unit
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
