Wolseley Canada is looking to hire and train an e-commerce inside sales representative to join our Laval team.

 

The Inside Sales Representative E-Commerce is a vital member of our Inside Sales team. You have the privilege of building strong relationships with each customer and are the primary point of contact for establishing orders for delivery. You work closely with our Outside Sales team and the Warehouse team to ensure that deliveries are fulfilled and communicated correctly to everyone involved in the shipping process.

What you will do:

  • Assume responsibility for order processing, which includes proposing pricing within established margins, sourcing additional products and creating purchase orders
  • Manage incoming orders and orders on our Wolseley Express website
  • Promote the Wolseley Express website
  • Enter quotes and orders into the system accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure accuracy in pricing, inventory and order information provided to customers
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing customers via telephone or email with the goal of driving additional sales
  • Prepare quotes and process orders on behalf of outside sales staff
  • Helping customers place orders online
  • Respond to customer requests promptly
  • Achieve sales targets set by management by promoting or upselling products
  • Adhere to the Company's safety policies and regulations

 

What you will bring:

  • Previous inside sales experience in plumbing and heating preferred
  • DEC in building mechanics or DEP in plumbing and heating (an asset)
  • General computer skills including Microsoft Office; knowledge of AS400 system an asset
  • High level of commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • Proven initiative and ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong organizational skills with respect to prioritizing and completing multiple tasks on a regular basis

What you will do:

  • Receive incoming shipments and checking for accuracy
  • Put away product to correct areas in the warehouse in a timely manner
  • Pick, pack and ship customer orders, including preparing documentation for shipment
  • Liaise with freight companies and inside/outside customers to determine shipping priorities
  • Ensure good housekeeping and safety procedures are maintained in shipping area
  • Responsible for transporting material to and from customer sites and other local locations.
  • Obtain necessary shipping documentation related to the assigned route.
  • Load items and orders into truck while adhering to a sometimes tight to delivery schedule.
  • Consolidate items and skids to maximize space in the trailer using a forklift or pump truck to load material.                                   

 

What will you bring:

  • Valid G license required.

  • Previous Warehouse experience an asset
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills

Main Purpose and Function

The Warehouse Worker reports to the Storekeeper position; frequently interacts with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

 

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Receiving Inbound Material

  • Unloads and inspects material for quality and quantity
  • Compares purchase order to packing slip, report and document any discrepancies
  • Records the receipt of all inbound materials in SAP

 

Storing Material

  • Labels  material by SKU number, barcode, material description, and / or bin number
  • Arranges and stock material on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequence, and restock shelves as required
  • Stores, distributes and / or disposes of returned material
  • Maintains accurate records of all in-stock material in SAP

 

Picking and Processing Orders

  • Accepts and reviews accuracy of outbound customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisition forms
  • Picks ordered materials from warehouse stock, assemble and prepares ordered materials for shipping
  • Loads and/or delivers orders when required
  • Records outbound material movement in SAP

 

Inventory Management

  • Conducts scheduled inventory cycle counts, record count totals, and report any discrepancies between count and SAP record
  • Maintains accurate record of inventory movement in SAP

 

Customer Services

  • Reviews, corrects, and completes orders request and document in SAP
  • Resolves routine customer inquiries at the counter and over the telephone

Warehouse Operations

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Completion of grade 12 or equivalency

  • Current and valid Driver’s License for the Province of British Columbia is required

The City of Toronto’s Fleet Services Division (FSD) provides a full range of Fleet Management Services for City Divisions and Agencies including the acquisition, maintenance and disposal of assets, along with City’s industry leading Sustainability Fleet Plan and energy management infrastructure. The City of Toronto has the largest municipal fleet in Canada and one of the most complex Fleets in North America.

The City has over 13,000 vehicles and equipment. Asset Management program includes the acquisition, specification identification, design review, site acceptance of new vehicles and equipment, along with disposal of assets based on lifecycle analysis. Fleet Services directly maintains and repairs over 5,300 assets. We have 11,000 operators with over 1,000 vehicles and equipment types, ranges from Class 1 to Class 8 e.g., from simple sedans and pickup trucks to hydraulic based front-end loaders, ambulances, snow melters and more complex equipment such as a hydro excavators, street sweepers, and garbage collection trucks.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements detailed plans and recommends policies/procedures regarding program specific requirements.
  • Conducts research into assigned area ensuring that such research takes into account developments within the field, corporate policies and practices, legislation and initiatives by other levels of government.
  • Ensures that the project expenditures are controlled and maintained within approved budget limitations.
