 Responsibility

  • Prepare all month end reconciliations journal entries with complete back up in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Prepare and support the financial statements, reconciliations and reports in a timely manner.
  • Complete product line income statements and variance analysis with explanations for all significant items.
  • Prepare, evaluate, and assist with accurate processing of monthly accounts payable and accounts receivable aging.
  • Process the entry of accounts payable on a weekly basis, with three-way matching to purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Prepare the bi-weekly payment processing for all corporate payables.
  • Process all corporate manual expense reports.
  • Review and track all corporate credit statements with approval and receipts.
  • Assist with preparation of annual budget, five-year business plan, and a twelve-month rolling forecast as needed.

Academic/Educational Requirements

  • Post-Secondary Education in Accounting, Business or related discipline,
  • Candidate should be prepared to enroll in the CPA program.

  • Develop and manage a standardized communication (cascade/feedback) Daily Management System (DMS/DDS) to assure communication with the operations department to coordinate maintenance and repair work.

  • Prepare reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems.

  • Initiate and carry out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.

  • Ensure city, province, and federal regulations relating to the maintenance department are always met.

  • Develop sound relationships across the organization and with vendors.

  • Utilize continuous improvement strategies and remain well-informed of current and future technological developments.

 

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in a Technical discipline and/or skilled trades certification is preferred.

  • Proven leadership experience at a manager or supervisory level in maintenance or engineering is a prerequisite.

  • Strong knowledge of Preventative Maintenance, Mechanical/Electrical systems and quality control systems within a food manufacturing environment.

    Qualifications:

  • Typically between 1 – 2 years of relevant experience and/or certification in related field of study desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Canada only: Registration to sell investment products completed or in progress (must be completed within 12 months) - as appropriate for the jurisdiction.
  • Confident and experienced in the use of social media, tablets, Smart phones, online tools, and applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative assistance to Vice-president, Finance as well as supported Directors and management staff
  • Manage and prioritize the Vice-president, Finance and Directors’ calendar and set up of meetings and associated logistic
  • Reading superiors' messages and mail to establish response priorities
  • Handle expense account for Vice-president, Finance and Directors
  • Arrange / coordinate travel arrangements
  • Coordinate weekly meetings, including agenda, logistics, follow-ups and action items and take minutes
